Honest question, is there? Both skilled southpaws who box and move.
Monroe has some Cuban blood in him too.

I would say that there is a big experience level difference between the two of them. That being said, I thought Monroe fought a good fight against Golovkin and wouldn't mind seeing them fight again after Monroe gets more seasoned.

Lara does it WAY better. Monroe has some physical advantages. That's about it.

I think Monroe is developing as a fighter. He is very hard to hit. I still think Lara has better skills but Monroe will go farther in the MW division.

Lara should still be better, but it's impossible for me to measure the gap right now because both Lara and Monroe have been matched too soft since their respective losses. The last 3 years from Lara make me wonder if Haymon signed him just to keep him away from his more marketable 154 guys.

Monroe's typically sold short on here, but he needs to be more active.

Monroe is stronger and more durable.

Big difference. I'm not a fan of Lara's style, but he is levels above Monroe.

I always thought Monroe was sold short. He has fast hands, good reflexes, good skills, good range and speed. He just has soul crushingly 0 power and for some reason just lacks the ability to fully tie all his skills in together at once consistently.
