If Danny Jacobs had the same resume as GGG, what would people say about him?

Precisely. Its about keeping it real. Even with Canelo I was very skeptical of him when he was coming into the scene and was getting mad hype. I was very reluctant to jump on the band wagon until he fought Austin Trout and proved he was the goods.

 

Golovkin's resume is streets ahead of Jacobs' resume.

Seriously, this isn't even a contest.

Let's put this in perspective.

Seven years ago Golovkin beat Nunez for the WBA title. I've seen plenty of people ragging GGG for winning the title off such a weak champion. About 3 years ago Nunez joined Jacobs' resume after everybody and his brother had beaten him, and he's one of the better wins on Jacobs' resume.

Jacobs has the big win over Quillin which is arguably better than anybody on Golovkin's resume, yes.

But man for man, GGG's resume is just packed with solid guys, whereas Jacobs has maybe 5 standouts. Guys like Rubio, Macklin, Proksa, Ouma and Monroe are solid wins, yet they aren't even part of GGG's 5 best wins.

I rate a resume of wins over a consistently solid line up over a resume with a couple of big names and not much else.

 

MA Rubio was KTFO easier and faster and in his prime and as a sitting Champion by Kofi Jantuah.

Gabriel Rosado was KTFO in only 2 rds against Alfredo Angulo when he was fresher.

David Lemieux was KTFO by a past prime Rubio and then completely outboxed by Alcine.

Matthew Macklin had been KTFO in Rd 1 by Jamie Moore.

Curtis Stevens had been KTFO by Marcos Primera.

David Geale was dominated every minute of every round and KTFO by Cotto in just 4 rounds.

Daniel Jacobs was KTFO by Dimitry Pirog.

Exactly this!!! i tried to break down why Golovkin has one of the best resumes in the sport (its on par with Wards now, and will surpass Ward once he easily dispactches Jacobs) and i got roasted by the ignorant few on this forum.

 

Victor of 17 title fights, 22 knockouts in a row, 5 in the first round looks great on anyone's record.

Jacobs = Kovalev (both very huge punchers if GGG stops him it will be a huge statement)
Lemuiex = Froch
Brook = Dawson
Stevens = Barrera
Murray = Kessler
Macklin = Miranda
Wade = Bika

GGG is literally running through the top ten of his division like a hot knife through butter. You do realise that one he beats Jacobs there is just Billy joe saunders who remains??

Guys are literally sucking themselves down 154lbs to avoid GGG and are moving up to 168lb and 175lbs to not fight him. But hey like i said you lack the ability to decipher factual evidence infront of you

 

I really don't give two sh*ts what most of the 3G haters here (drenlou, Isal, c*ckmaster, Dino, etc...) would say, but if Jacobs had the same resume, I'd say the exact same thing. It's a decent resume, but clearly far from what a HOFer or ATG would have.

 

Which other ONE FIGHTER has KTFO Rubio, Rosado, Lemieux,Macklin, Stevens, Geale and Jacobs? Not to mention KOing Monroe, Brook, Ishida, Adama, Ouma and Proksa!

Whoops... Must've missed a "0" on your boxrec research. Maybe you should try to watch the fights instead of going by boxrec before commenting on them. Maybe then you'd know getting stopped on your feet isn't "KTFO".

And you only refuted one name(Rubio) among the ones the other guy mentioned.
