This fight wasn't anywhere near the close "either way" fight, nor was this the boring fight I'd remembered my memory had been swayed reading about it on here. I actually just enjoyed that chess match, there is zero chance anyone could come away thinking lara truly won.. Canelo CLEARLY won and that's removing his name. With taking canelos name into account canelo won way wide. Canelo proved he is the better fighter. Lara couldn't EVER be able to beat canelo, if you're not able to khtfo, you're going to lose. There's truly only one fmj, that was fmj at his absolute BEST
I just finished rewatching the fight. My stance has always been that this fight could have been scored either way. After watching it again the best I could honestly give Lara is a draw and the best I can give Canelo is a 8-4 victory. I just scored it 7-5 for Canelo. 1. Lara- very close rd 2. Canelo 3. Lara- very close rd 4. Canelo 5. Canelo 6. Canelo- close rd 7. Canelo 8. Canelo 9. Lara- very close rd 10. Lara- close but clear rd 11. Lara- close rd 12. Canelo- close rd
Laughable card, firstly you didn't give a single round to Lara clearly and secondly you give the 2nd to Canelo?? LOL.
You are Wrong. Out of all the rounds I gave Lara, ONLY the 11th RD I would consider a toss up round. Just one round buddy. The second round was a clear Canelo rd. The only thing Lara did was land a nice 1-2 combo and theb a straight right later on. Canelo on the other hand pressed the action and landed a few vicious body shots to the liver, also Canelo got Lara with a nice right that was partially blocked but sent him stumbling back and using his hand to hold on to the ropes. Canelo also punctuated the round with a solid liver shot, one that Lara definitely acknowledge as he tried to claim it was low. Not a dominant round but a clear Canelo round.
When Isal watches Canelo punch somebody, it's like there are three slo-mo punches landing after the initial punch to his eyes Doctors classify this condition as Caneleyesitis. One of the judges at the Canelo / Mayweather fight suffered from it too.
It was effective enough to open up a pretty serious cut over Lara's eye. It was effective enough to cause Lara to run away for most of the fight. It was effective enough to cause Lara to "slip" while running away after Canelo landed a jab that wasn't ruled a knockdown but was certainly a telling moment. Lara wasn't impressive enough with his outboxing to earn him a decision. He wasn't able to land any combinations because he was too wary of Canelo's power to stay in the pocket. You can win a fight by staying on the outside, but you can't look uncomfortable while doing it. Lara had fear in his eyes as he attempted to outbox Canelo. He got smashed to the body, and it hurt, he fell down running away from a jab, he had blood dripping in his eye from a cut, he was cleraly in more trouble than we've ever seen him in. It wasn't good enough to win a decision.
no one is trying to dictate anything..im just laughing at what double standard carrying, contradicting, jokes you guys are people like that have no backbone...i pity you/them
