Be interesting to see what type of fighters they will be targeting and how promoters will make money from this lool.

Approaching it with skepticism and caution.

It's the Maxi Nutrition Tournament on PEDS! Interesting to see what weights are featured personally I'd like to see welterweight and heavyweights featured.

Sounds very interesting if the $50m budget is legit, I know that has to be spread over 16 fights but that still works out around $1.5m per fighter per fight which is more than what most guys get paid. They have to pick the right divisions in order to get the best guys from those weight classes to take part, like none of the big names from welterweight, middleweight or heavyweight would get involved in this because they know they can get paid more without it. However the cruiserweight and light middleweight division would be perfect for this kind of tournament as those guys would welcome that kind of payday.

The biggest issue would be getting all the different promoters on board.

As already stated in the press conference and associated media.

    Light middle with no Canelo?

Canelo looks like he is moving up to 160, even if he doesn't fight GGG next I still think he will be fighting at 160 in future.

Interesting concept. Unsure how they ll make money from it tho spending 50 million on it. Assuming it ll be ppv revenue. But how many people will buy some of these fights. Could maybe just get away with it at one or two weights.

Theres a reason these things dont happen in boxing. People have probably thought about it for years. But a struggle to make a worthwhile profit from it i d imagine. Hope not tho.

Glad the formats changed from the super six. Ended up going too long and dragging out a bit. Launched a few careers tho. Or got fighters more known anyway.

The idea is good, but the format has to be correct. The super 6 was great in allowing us to see the best against the best in the division, but the tournament dragged on... likewise so did the Channel 5 tournament more recently.

Fighters staying fit and avoiding pull out's is the big issue, but much easier said than done.

I'd much prefer to see elite fighters in a prize fighter short fight format.
