What makes a fighter awkward?

It could be any number of things or combination of factors. From an unorthodox stance, an unusual rhythm. The delivery of punches from odd angles. The text book way to defend against a punch may not apply against them.

 

They appear distracted whilst you are talking to them.

 

Unpredictable, hard to hit, unorthodox movement/combinations/defensive habits, unconventional stance, great counter-punching, fast hands.

 

When a fighter stabs himself in the face when eating with a fork.

 

Weird Movements,Hard To Hit,Weird Angles Of Fighting, Weird Chooses That Work On Foot work And Punching,Stance,And Weird Social Choices

 

Probably hyper-critical parents who undermined their self-esteem. Sad, really.

 

Awkward fighters are good at doing something ( Stance, punch, moving, timing, tactics ) in an unconventional way, but because they are good at being awkward, they can throw other fighters " off "

Usually the ones bothered by it the most are the methodical tempo fighters with slower feet.

 

Off key rhythm in some way.
