LOL, you trying to start a rumble? Honestly, both these guys are outliers, it's hard to tell exactly how they match up. RJJ was just so damn fast and skilled that IMHO he could beat any 160 guy in history. This really boils down to whether Golovkin can cut the ring off on him or not. He's done it to everybody else and destroyed them with ease, but RJJ is another level. If Golovkin can keep the fight in his range he has a good chance with his power and punch variety. If RJJ can create space and use his speed, then I think he wins. I think it would be a mouthwatering fight, but one that is difficult to call due to the extreme skillset of either fighter when going H2H, but on pedigree alone you'd have to say Jones, I think.
I rate Golovkin very highly H2H, but am pretty confident that a prime Roy Jones Jr beats Golovkin. A prime Roy Jones Jr, IMO, is the best fighter ever in the MW division.
Golovkin is great but there's no reason to believe he wouldn't get outboxed, eating jabs and straights to his static upper body and head. Even if he managed to corner Roy from time to time he'd be eating counters from a puncher pretty much just as monstrous and twice as quick.
Golovkin is probably my favourite fighter of the current era but prime Roy was just magnificent. People always remark that triple G has faced every style over the course of his career as both an amateur and a professional but he has never faced anyone from the same planet as RJJ, who i believe clowns him for 12 with relative ease. Jones Jr UD
Jones Jr UD, small but live possibility even a TKO 10 victory for Jones (only made unlikely by Golovkin's chin and resilience). Golovkin clearly looks like one of the best middleweights ever, but prime Jones Jr was just the best of all time.
The consensus is that it's a fantasy fight belonging on your xbox. Keep telling yourselves that Roy has beaten Golovkin suckers
Very good fight that. Pretty much got roy down as untouchable at his best. But think golovkin style would cause him problems eventually in a fight. Hes pretty relentless. Roy would take the first six...probably put a beating on him. But golovkin would give him problems with his ability to cut that ring off. Hes probably the best around atm at it. Think roy would have took too much out of him in the first six tho. Roy could punch. Goes down to me as one of them guys that if they needed to be better they would have been. Sometimes watch him and think hes only going about 50 percent at times because he was enjoying it in there so much. Which is scary to think about. Similar to ali...pre lay off.
It's way too hard for me when I've witnessed all rjj vulnerabilities and lose in every single way possible. I know he beat a "prime" Tony and hops but I would be utterly shocked if ggg didn't annihilate both in much more devastating fashion... NO one cuts the ring off like ggg, and I'm talking ever. He's so relentless, effective aggression. When had we ever seen such effective aggression while being unchallenged with cutting off the ring. Way too hard to call a fight with this much talent. Rjj was seen as a front runner until the Griffin fight Getting beaten down by griffin for 6 straight rounds, idk
Goes much the same way as the Hopkins I fight. Jones' movement and athleticism against GGG being easy to hit gives Jones a wide decision. GGGs face would look a mess by the end
