Marciano by ko in ten rounds. Tough fight but Marcianos right trumps Frazier hook. Rockys low crouch makes Joes hook less effective but Rockys right finds a clear path for the win.
Marciano is a tough out...but Frazier's strength and tenacity might push Marciano onto the back foot and limiting his effectiveness in the process. I think Frazier at his best, wins a decision against Rocky.
Marciano gets his ass sent down hard into the canvas. But it all goes down hill from there and ultimately Frazier will lose his soul in a War. Marciano by 12th round TKO Unless you are Sonny Liston, Mike Tyson or George Foreman . No one else is beating Rocky in a firefight.
Put 'em in a phone booth and let 'em go....Joe's left hook vs. the "Suzie Q". This is a war...I just think that this comes down a survival of the fittest....and who was more fit than Rocky Marciano?....
We have the same watch. Rolex stainless steel sub, except you've got me beat in the arm hair department. Anyway, I pretty much agree with your call here. Rocky via late round TKO. This one would be a war of hearts, wills, and minds, but Rocky body would last a little longer, and he has two-fisted power, while Frazier who had the hand speed edge only has power in one hand.
ww3 this would really be a war I got Marciano eventually wearing down Frazier like rockyjim said this is the survival of the fittest and rocky was incredibly conditioned in his fights
Do you guys think Fraziers 20 pound size advantage and IMO underrated bob weave defense would be a factor?
I think Joe is one of the few that could match Rock in the stamina department. That was his game too. He carried his power late as well. Honestly this is a tough call. Frazier had 20lbs on Marciano but I don't know I that would be that much of a factor. I`d probably lean slightly towards Frazier for his precision and he was a little faster with his hands. Joe actually had a nice jab when he faced someone as short as he was see {Quarry 1} and he even flashed it against some taller guys like Ellis as times.
I believe Frazier has wins over better opposition than Marciano. If you pit them both against Ali who would be more likely to win? Frazier was able to get away with a win over Ali simply he had longer reach and more head movement and was less hesitant than Marciano would be and was also faster in foot and hand speed than Marciano. In a head to head fight Frazier is no longer the smaller guy and has the reach advantage,if he hits Marciano enough he will eventaully k.o him or stop him on cuts. Even only basically a one arm fighter would be better faster combinations would be a much better advantage than Marciano would have being a two fisted power puncher. Chin doesn’t really come into play, Marciano was flashed knocked down by Moore and Frazier was battered by Foreman but Marciano isn't Foreman. I think Marciano is to crude skill wise and Frazier would have little trouble reaching him . This isnt a mismatch but i wouldn't be sold on picking Marciano here, particularly when Marciano looked good with opponents standing in front of him not throwing anything. If you crowd Frazier he didn't just stand there he,he himself smothered guys in close with punches. Frazier TKO stoppage on cuts.
Size doesnt matter here ,even if Frazier was 6'9 300 pounds of muscle,he would still lose to those picking Marciano or ANY capable giant. lol The differance between 185 and 205 ACTUALLY isnt that big bc its not really significant....Fraziers height would be a factor though bc he would have to work less on a 5'11 guy...its when you get a guy OVER 20 pounds or so where BOTH are over the 215 mark you will feel it more.In other words If Frazier was a natural 220 pound guy ,marciano would certainly not win if he fought at that 185 pounds,he didnt have the speed to compensate the range. Frazier's 205 is an advantage but Marciano was still stronger at 185,but he would still most likely get out worked in the match.
Frazier's greater size, speed ,of hand and foot, and better head movement versus Marciano's two handed power? Plausible arguments can be made either way.I go for Marciano, but not with any great confidence.
Actually that watch is a 1980 Rolex Great White seadweller. Very collectible Rolex. The difference between this and a submariner is the seadweller does not have a cyclops to magnify the date, it's a thicker watch and the 1980 version has a large dome shaped plexi crystal. (Superdome crystal).
