I was ringside for Cotto's pro debut in Texas & supported him for years, Actually in Cotto-Margarito 1 tho I predicted a Marg win I still supported Cotto. I lost respect for him when he began blaming everyone bot himself for his failures. How many trainers has he had & fired ?? He took a hell of a beating LEGITIMATELY from Margarito & at first blamed & fired his trainer. Then when the plaster BS came up he blamed his loss on Margarito having plaster. Great get out huh? Today he in exactly what I described him as A whining wussy. How many opponents did he fight that were carrying injuries ?? Martinez could hardly walk his knees were shot Yuri Foreman was hopping on one leg yet Mercante refused to let his corner throw in the towel. He refused time & again to rematch Margarito until he knew Tony's eye was permanently damaged. Even then he couldn't LEGITIMATELY beat a one eyed Margarito. He had to rely on that doc who stopped the fight to save COTTO quitting AGAIN!!!! not Tony's eye which was blind from round 2. Sorry I have NO respect for people with no heart I respect a FIGHTER!! & that is what Antonio Margarito is

1 Other boxers have cojones, heart &self respect
2 Were any other ingredients of sweat tested for ???? NO They were hoping to find proof of plaster but
FAILED!!! but still ruined the good name of an innocent man. Isnt the US law " A man is deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law " ?? Not according to the CSAC their philosophy was " It looks like he MAY be guilty so we'll just deem him guilty. We have nothing to indict him on that would stand in a court of law" They were right they'd have been laughed out of court & likely had to pay Margarito big $$$$$$$ in compensation

Because Margarito was a fraud who has zero legacy in the sport. He accomplished nothing of note in his career from a historical aspect.

People hate Antonio Margarito because he's a gut check for them. Most people have no self discipline. They are weak in the mind and body. They are ignorant. They don't take the time to educate themselves, watch their diet, exercise and achieve stuff.

Here we have Tony Margarito a REAL FIGHTER! A man who turned pro at just 15 years old. And came up the hardest way possible. Earned every last DROP of anything he ever earned in his life. Blessed without much natural talent. Slow hands and feet. Average or just slightly above average power. And just decent technical abilities. Yet this man rose to the top of pro boxing. Through sheer force of will. Known for having the top chin and stamina in boxing at one point. He wore down his opponents with sheer desire, tenacity and attrition. It was all heart and feats of will.

Margarito is the ****ing man. A warrior and true ring gladiator. The haters can't stand him because he's a pure reflection of hard work and sacrifice.

    1. No, its because Margarito's pads were illegal, consisting of plaster.

    2. Yes the DOJ tested all the substance on the wraps...Yes a man is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, but this was not in a court of law, this was a hearing...and guess what, they got a confession straight from Capetillo saying he put plaster inserts in Margarito's wraps...!!! Similar to a plea bargain or a confession with hopes of reduced sentence, and that is exactly what was handed to Capetillo and Margarito...!!!
