I 100% agree. This self proclaimed TBE, won't dare take on a fight if he doesn't have a glaring advantage. All you have to do is go back and look at the odds in Floyds fights the past decade or longer. Maybe castillo or corrales he wasn't the heavy favorite, but everybody else he was the clear favorite. Yet there were always fights out there for him to prove he's the best where he wasnt the heavy favorite yet somehow managed to miss almost all of them. Great fighters want to take on the toughest tests to prove what they are, but Floyd's M.O was to only take the fights he was sure he could win. And GGG doesn't fit that protocol thus Floyd will not fight him. Its pathetic really.
BS, everyone should know Floyd isn't even prime anymore but if Floyd actually shocked the entire world and finally stepped up to face an opponent he didn't have a real advantage over, and even if he lost, I'd finally give Floyd respect and so would alot of his haters. Imagine that though, Floyd facing a legit, elite opponent in their prime!???? Hell would have to freeze over first.
I don't care much for Floyd, and I'm a fan of GGG, but FFS man, get serious ! Floyd is not ducking GGG. He's retired, and he was a welterweight when he hung them up. Canelo IS ducking GGG, but that's a whole other story.
Impossible for Floyd to duck Golovkin. I don't buy into the ability to duck fighters who aren't in your weight class.
Its not so much ducking, but Floyd says he's TBE, yet never challenges himself nor tries to back up his talk. Facing Berto, who just lost 3 of his last 4 fights, instead of stepping up and facing a real threat for once in the past 10+ years! And now coming back to face a guy that has literally no chance, that even BErto would completely crush, when there's a mega fight with GGG right there for the taking! If Floyd was truly a legacy fighter, he would take that fight. But he's always been more interested in keeping that 0 and if there's someone that has a real chance to beat him, he doesn't want anything to do with them. I remember Paul williams saying "I dont think Floyd will ever fight me, I'd have to have "a female part" for him to face me".
Oh okay, now fmj is "ducking" ggg ??? My lord, at least his trolls picked the greatest mw ever and one of the true top fighters ever for him to "duck" About time we've moved on from the laughable logic behind the couple trolls that lived off the marg shrug
That I agree with, and I think anyone else on top would bother him just as much. It's the fame he's addicted to. He also said Ward lost and that Hunter's not a good trainer, too. Any other guy who may be the one to become the "face" of boxing is going to draw his ire, unless that guy is Canelo (since Floyd can always say he was the guy who beat him). It reminds me a bit of the old Jack Johnson quote where he says he doesn't want to be the first black heavyweight champ, he wants to be the only black heavyweight champ. Floyd doesn't want to give the spotlight up, even if he's retired or in cash-out only mode.
You don't think there is a little hypocrisy? G gets a pass on moving up 1 division to face Ward, but you don't respect Mayweather for moving up multiple times. There is no argument that Mayweather's resume is far better than G's. So how can you have so much respect for G and non for Mayweather.
