It would be a short brutal war.
I believe Benn is the one more likely to come out on top.

Yes it will be brutal but I see it going in to middle round s with both men down. Can see Benn hurt but coming back to send hearns down In around the tenth.

Pick'em. Hearns could easily have Benn out of there fast. Getting off early would be in his best interests tho.

Getting off early would be essential although Benn took McClellan's best shots and survived, I don't think Tommy could survive taking Nigel's best shots. Benn KO in under 3 rounds imo......

Too close to call. Getting off first would of course be a big advantage and there Tommy would have the edge with his longer reach and more cultivated punching technique and combos. Benn on the other hand showed that he could come back from being badly hurt. Could definitely go either way. Hugely entertaining, though.

At 160 lbs, Hearns by early KO

Benn rushes in in kamikaze fashion and gets flattened by the Hearns straight right. This isn't Anthony Logan.

    At 168, Hearns by decision

Great .if hearns keeps it at long range he wins quite easily but I think benn turns it into a dog fight .would be awesome but I think benn wins a brawl.

If Hearns boxes he wins, either by decision or more likely a late stoppage and Benn blows himself out and fades. But I think Hearns is more likely to try and fight his usual more aggressive style and in that scenario I favour Benn.

Unless you box Benn and take away his strengths like Watson did you will inevitably get hit. Benn was fast, ferocious and a good counter puncher and hit guys hard even when losing like in the losses to Eubank, Malinga and Collins. Benn had the heart to be dropped by Hearns and come back and be a threat but I don't think Hearns could do the same, so even if Hearns got to him early he'd be in real danger of getting stopped by Benn when going for the finish. At some point Benn would land something big and when that happens Benn isn't going to let him off the hook and Hearns wouldn't be able to turn things around like Benn could when hurt.

Those who think that Hearns can avoid The Dark Destroyer brutal charges for 12 rounds live in a dream. Benn would rush Hearns and force the fight on the inside. Yes Hearns can defend himself. There's good chances Benn runs head first into a terrific right hand. But no way this goes the distance. Benn wins 6 times out of 10 IMO.

Agreed. Hearns better get him early or we have another McClellan-Benn. (hopefully with the permanent damage)

I think Benn would catch Tommy...bad crazy style for Hearns to deal with. Benn carried serious firepower.

Hagler came running in at Hearns and the right hands Hearns landed would have flattened
most mw. Hagler chin is alway's mentioned on ATG lists and Benn is not. Yes he did
survive a frantic round with McCellan but he only survived because of a dubious referee.
    Hearns obliterates Benn in 2.

I hate going against Benn but Hearns at his absolute best middleweight condition would pick Benn apart.

Hearns destroys Benn. I can't even believe this many people think Benn would win, he wouldn't, and would be decisively beaten. If Gerald had him practically out to the point where he resorted to blatant fouling and dirty tactics, what is Hearns going to do. Benn wasn't hard to find, many found him, so would Tommy.
