Update!!!: Thurman vs Peterson. WBA mandatory fight to be announced.

Don't think Pederson has much of a chance....................Matthysse sure knocked him out badly!

 

Another very solid fight.
Seems to be one of the few guys out there taking consistently high level fights

 

Peterson's skills are a bit underrated here but maybe I'm over rating him? He looked good against Garcia because, well, styles. Unless he gets caught and knocked out, I think he gives Thurman a good boxing match. I'd follow the Matthysse formula: start fast and strong, back him up, go for the kill.

 

Thurman should win but he'll probably struggle. Peterson loves it when a fighter backpedals.

 

Waste of a fight for Keith, But it's whatever after Thurman beats dude ass then maybe they can feed him an old timer (Pac/Mayweather). VS. Broner fight could also line Keith's pocket & give him another pretty good win.

 

Decent fight, could be a tricky one for Thurman but I'd back him

 

Peterson has hot and cold streaks it looks like, but also seems to have issues with big hitters and frontrunners.
I can see an early KO for Thurmy, or a long stretched out affair with a razor close decision.

I'm still a little disappointed with Thurman TBH
I wanted DSG to be humbled in a one sided beatdown.
That did not happen. Thurman should've made a statement that night . After that fight all I kept hearing was "Damn, Spence is going to wreck One-Time "

 

This is a solid fight for him while he waits to see who comes out on top in the Brook-Spence match.

 

Spense and Brook beat both Garcia and Thurman. Brooks 147 days are numbered and Spence is the best ww out there right now. The problem with Thurman is he thinks he is a ko puncher. He loads up on everything he throws thereby telegraphing his shots and sacrificing speed. Garcia is no ww and will be hard pressed to beat any of the top 5 or 6 guys.

 

My prediction.

Thurman will drop his WBA belt and duck Peterson.

He don't want no part of Peterson. Imo

 

Not a bad fight in my eyes. Peterson is a live underdog.

 

People don't realize Thurman is a smallish welter, same way Cotto was. He is only like 5'7 1/2. I'd favor Thurman to win by UD, as Peterson finds ways to make fights harder than they should be. If Peterson is able to pump that jab and disrupt Thurman's rhythm though it should be a competitive fight.

First guy that puts a decent jab in Thurman's face consistently round after round, beats him.

 

as long as Peterson doesn't get caught like he did vs lucas he gives Thurman a very close fight I think. Peterson is actually underated to be honest. but I will go with Thurman by SD
