He was the man when Vitali retired. If not it was the winner of the top two ranked fighter, either way Wladimir ended up being the man, that went on to fight the top fighters in the heavyweight division, not his brother.
"The Man" isn't a title or anything real FFS. It's just an attempt to grant more credence to a fighter w/o a title.
The man can be definined in more than one way. Lewis, Vitali and Wladimir were all the man. Right now Tyson Fury is still the man even though he has not fought for a while. If say Joshua/Wilder/Wladimir/Parker beat two of each other I will say they are the man, because they have achieved more than Fury achieved. It looks like you disagree with me, that is fine. When Vitali retired though, Wladimir from there on out fought the best boxers in the division, that is why Vitali's resume is so weak compared to his brothers.
I'm totally convinced Myths is intentionally trying to be daft at this point. It's just good entertainment.
bailey, Yes, but again: he didn't always show those attributes. If he didn't show them against a static Valuev, what makes you believe they'd have been on show against Mike? Rubbish? How so? Valuev wasn't a great HW. David was far too cautious. Look at how he prepared in camp, using Adam Booth on stilts. Could you imagine Mike and Kevin Rooney training with stilts in their camp? Look at some of the things he said about Wlad before their fight. Look at the famous tee shirt he wore. You honestly believe his toe was the sole reason he put in that performance? It was his mindset that restricted him. 1. It's not rubbish. 2. Mike was far more of a threat than Wlad and Valuev. Wlad was also very cautious. He may have planned for it, but who could he have sparred that would have replicated Mike's onslaught? Regarding "Bonecrusher" Smith, he was in survival mode for the most part. Ha! Who are you referring to? Evander? Please. 1. That was in 1996. 2. Evander was a warrior who didn't fear anybody. David would never have fought Mike in that same manner. I don't know how he'd have timed a bobbing and weaving Mike coming in aggressively at speed. Although David possesses great offensive attributes, he's always had a poor defence. He used to copy Roy a lot, especially when he was younger. He used to let his left arm hang down by his waist, but he never had Roy's reflexes to get away with it. David also likes to pot shot like Roy did. In facing Mike, he wouldn't have been quicker or more powerful. I think Mike would have found him pretty easily. In my honest opinion, David's only realistic chance of winning, would have been to have fought Mike aggressively. And again: I don't think he'd have had the mindset to have employed those tactics.
I dont need to read your response. You claimed you were above it all and said something along the lines of a chuckle rather than a response but sticking to your theme of dumb asf, you are responding and in doing so still cant back up any of your response in saying what is incorrect with the original quote you highlighted. Thats dumb asf
I notice you couldnt say what was not correct or what you disagree with. I also know that you will duck if asked to do so, but lets what you squirm. What was incorrect in what I posted? Watch the duck
Didnt know you had quoted me. Didnt show what attributes? Haye always had speed. Ridiculous comment to start Comical that you think Haye would prepare the same way for 5ft 11inch Tyson as he would for 7ft 2inch Valuev. Cant believe you are being so ridiculous Yes. His toe was massively swollen and I recall someone in the know explaining how that can affect alot of things including power. Terrible injury to go into the ring with and showed even when hampered and not able to evade punches as well, that Haye could take the power Your opinion again. Once again. You do not know someones mind. These comments are what puts you back and why it is noted you post from opinions rather than facts I would look at Wlads reign and Tysons and say that it is very hard for you to really push that opinion even though I feel all were a threat Depends what era. They were different eras, so in Mikes era or Davids? How did anyone plan for it. Look at how B Douglas handled it And??? You dont know this with Haye at all. Haye may have fought a different way and been successful. Look at how Botha gave Mike problems with movement Thats right. You dont know and shouldnt be commenting as a casual Disagree. He may not have faced Tyson that way but if he did, feel he had the ability to stay out of the way whilst using his reach and power Haye could have evaded and landed I feel This content is protected Here is Haye, evading, landing with power and showing boxing and aggression when it suits. This was against arguably Americas best HW for possibly a decade and the fighter who beat Holyfield who beat Tyson. Stunning boxing from Haye
IBs post 130 says it all. You never match fighters in their prime. You pick the best British version against anyone's losses out of prime. That's why people think that you're such a shitty poster.
