I blasted Lemieux when he did it so I have to blast Jacobs. I hope GGG stops him in a brutal fashion, it's a disgrace that these guys fight in divisions they are clearly to big for.

 

Either a) he's intentionally trying to balloon up, b) couldn't maintain being below 170 and healthy or c) doesn't think the IBF belt is worth the effort.

 

The health of all fighters matters to me. GG and Jacobs are full fledged mws. How much of a weight advantage can Jacobs have over GG? People think that you have a weight advantage if you weigh a few more pounds than the other guy. False.

All during camp you are eating food that helps you lose and then maintain your weight. They don't gorge themselves when their weight balloons after the weigh in. Your body doesn't work like that. You can't eat digestible food and then eat just anything to rehydrate and expect the body to perform. Your digestive system doesn't work like that. You eat more of what you've been eating and drink a lot more.

Duran got down to 147 for rematch with Sugar and his excuse was eating a big steak as to why he fought lackluster. Technically he's right and steak would do that, but people think that by Leonard boxing and not slugging won him the fight. That's a add-on lol...

I truly believe that if the networks wanted to, they could force it on a fighter, and unless he wanted to toss off a sizable amount of dough, he'd oblige.

That's one of the reasons different belts exist with their own rules. Makes it more interesting. It also makes it that much harder to stay a Unified Champ at any level. You would have to follow the rules of every belt which is super tough to do. Jacob's would lose the IBF belt any in future fights. I think he only wants to beats GGG, not really stay unified champ
