This was the game plan all along, I am surprised he even made weight. Looks like they want to use their size advantage against GGG since they don't really need to worry about giving up any speed. Makes the fight a little more interesting.

For a guy that is supposed to be overrated they sure do want every advantage they can get interesting. That does not show me confidence, it shows they are unsure of danny. This could be quick tonight.

How is it even legal to skip same day weigh in? Would that constitute a forfeit?

Come on guys, you are blowing this out of proportion. There is no dehydration clause, so the fight is good to go. He lost the IBF belt, that's his choice. Also the reason he is over 170s now it's because the weigh in was put forward at least 10 hours early than normal.
Most fighter above welterweight put on 15-20 pounds after weigh in. It's the norm with the exception of a few like Floyd, Pac or in this case GGG. Beside, these 3 examples are among fighters with the most discipline in keeping their off season weight.
Please don't use this and the VADA late inclusion as an excuse if Jacobs happens to win the fight.
I'm picking GGG to win and none of this sway my opinion at all.

Only for the IBF, since they are the only ones who do it

Beating Gennady is way more important than one belt
