I thought Jacobs took it, but that knockdown looked bogus to me, like Golovkin was on his foot, or something. Also Jacobs gave some rounds away by moving, and letting Golovkin stalk and outjab him. When Jacobs was aggressive, he clearly won rounds.

FFS, Pimp, put down the crack pipe.

On what basis could you score the fight for Danny ?

    Who was the aggressor ?

    Who scored the KD ?

Who landed the most shots ?

Jacobs beat the expectations, but that doesn't mean he beat his opponent.

Jacob's is elite, that is why he was ranked no 2. He was filled up with roids for this bout, had a 10lb weight advantage and was still put on his ass.

Jacobs didn't just land shoe shining shots, he had some pop on them. Golovkin took them well though. Both men had substance imo, Jacobs just looked sloppy at times.

The biggest robbery in recent times is Ward over Kovalev. This was a fight with many close rounds, not a robbery. Look at the first two rounds. How do you score those? Jacobs wasn't doing much but jabbing and moving. He did tie GGG up at times but not like Ward's tactics over Kovalev which were completely illegal. I feel sorry for Jacobs, he almost did enough to get the win. This could have been a draw. GGG just wasn't throwing as much as he normally does, either he got old or Jacobs was causing him problems.

RJJ agreed with the decision, called for a rematch.

    Good call.

maybe GGG did scramble his brains a bit: "cry over sour milk"?

a combination of "sour grapes" and "spilt milk" that kind of makes sense.

    Jesus Christ!
I'm a big GGG fan that thinks Jacobs did enough to edge this.

Canelo vs Chavez will be surprisingly competitive just like this.

We'll see two rematches and then the big fight. Things are lining up perfectly for Canelo...

GG clearly won the fight. He's a true champion now and this is what happens when you fight the best. You don't always get the ko but GG's jab and his Uppercut in the latter part of the fight won him the fight. I thought that Jacobs had this weight advantage? Foh. Skills always pay the bills. GG+1

Hopefully Golovkin doesn't become the next Vic Darchinyan
