He was thanking God for winning the fight. Before the Judges were reminded about the money everyone would make with an undefeated GGG vs Canelo and all the Las Vegas betting joints that would lose massive amounts of money if Jacobs won. A word to the wise, ha capito?

You are clueless. Out boxed him? Outlanded him power wise?? Did you see the punch stats? Did you see Jacobs mug? Did you see the knockdown and Jacobs stunned on multiple occasions?

Go bury your head in the sand rookie.

I just remember Jacobs being the bookies underdog. What was said on these forums was from before I was here. I do know that the bookies odds don't often represent these forums majority opinion though.

The compubox punch stats were irrelevant, and how Jacobs looks is even more irrelevant. And no we didn't see Jacobs stunned on multiple occassions alt. We all saw a close fight. GG won. Accept the fact that others didn't have GG winning going away like you and you'll last here because dick riding and lying isn't the way to go here buddy.

Compubox stats ARE relevant. They they give a good picture of how the fight played out.
How Jacobs looked IS relevant because it showed that GGG did damage to him. And yes, Jacobs was stunned on more than one occasion which qualifies as multiple Mr. Simpleton. Do you even watch boxing??

What a great argument. Once you get stumped by someone who actually knows something about boxing, unlike yourself, you resort to insults and accusing them of being an alt. Nice try genius.

Both respected the power of the other. We've never seen Golovkin's defense that fine tuned. He blocked a lot with his guard, and covered his body well with his arms, smothering quite a few of those body shots. Jacobs was a bit tentative in close range. I think that is where he lost the fight. People forget Golovkin had over 300 amateur fights, and was an Olympic Silver medalist. He has good feet, and can control the distance fairly well. Jacobs often couldn't find the right range, even when he came forward, because Golovkin would use his legs, and keep Jacobs from closing in at times. Where Jacobs had the advantage, was handspeed. But you have to be in range to utilize it. He was more concerned at times with tying up on the inside, instead of using his handspeed, to put combinations together. Jacobs defense wasn't half bad either. He slipped and made Golovkin miss alot with head movement. It was a good fight, the level of the combatants added intrigue.

Fight also helped us gauge both guys better. Golovkin is clearly under Hopkins in terms of middleweight hierarchy. I have him under Hagler as well. I do have Golovkin above Sergio Martinez and Jermaine Taylor though. I think Golovkin vs a prime Pavlik would have been a hell of a fight, due to the style match up.
