Beats everyone that was in the super six with relative ease Ward included. Toughest fight may have been Dirrell. Ward doesn't fight anyone with more speed than him unless they are drained and fighting in the wrong weight class.

Think we pretty much all agree on a Joe-Ward final. I'd lean toward Joe winning slightly but not with confidence. What a great technical fight that would have been

Wins it , and he gets Ward scalp as well , Ward won't throw enough to stop him from scoring , i dont see how Ward takes away Joe`s volume.

Joe boxes Wards goofy face in. Frustrates the **** out of him also while clowning him and getting him off his game.

Well I definitely don't think he would've won it. Based on Calzaghe ducking Froch towards the end of his career, I think I'd back Froch to win that one. I think Ward beats both with relative ease, although I think the Froch fight would've been the more difficult of the two for Andre Ward.

Joe struggled with Hopkins think ward would be the same. Not many answers to those wiley spoilers

Watching how ward got up off the canvas then went on to nullify kov sways me wards way.

Before that I was calzaghe all the way.

Could be a split decision though super close one

Is there another boxer in history with a similar style to Joe Calzaghe? I am having trouble thinking of someone, his style is at least very unusual.

I strongly favour Ward over Calzaghe but the rest of the super six am either unsure or haven't seen enough of a couple of them to have an opinion.

Ward would have needed to find a way to stop Joe throwing 100 or so punches per round. Unless he could tie up Joe and smoother his work by taking the fight inside, I just can't see Andre throwing and landing enough punches in return to get the win...

    Easy wins for calzaghe.
People forget calzaghe was past prime when beating lacy.
Prime healthy hands calzaghe I think would win most by ko or stoppage. Old end of career calzaghe may have to do some clear points wins but either way he wins them all

I agree with this. I think Calzaghe would beat Ward, but Ward would resort to stinking out the joint with huggery and potshotting. It would not be easy, even for zaggers.
