How did Golovkin stay up after those 2 massive left hooks from jacobs in the end of round 10?

No doubt Oscar is floating this out via his surrogates.

Good counter post. In all fairness, I think GGG has shown a decent chin and Jacobs to be more sturdy that many felt

 

I can't tell if you're trolling or serious. But anyway , Jacobs only ever landed glancing blows on Golovkin since he was sticking n moving the whole night.
He wasn't planting his feet and landing bombs at any time. Jacobs isn't a kockout artist to begin with , so add that to the fact he wasn't putting everything behind his punches and you get zero case for GGG having an amour plated chin.

In fact the only thing to take away from this fight regarding jaws is that GGG does not like getting touched. This is now crystal clear.
So his chin rating is still good , but still untested in terms of greatness ..

I am. I really do like Golovkin and rate him very highly.
I didnt think those hooks at the end of round 10 looked massive but Golokin did take his lumps in the fight and give out as well. I thought it was a good MW match up.
I just dont think MW has been that strong over recent years and think Jacobs was like some of the MWs of late 90s in size which I felt could cause Golovkin problems which it did.
I always felt Golovkin would struggle with big MWs but there arent so many in this era.
I think some fighters have fought nervously against Golovkin and not been as effective as they could be. When I knew Jacobs was going to have his family present, I knew he wouldnt just lie down and felt it was a fight that I could see going either way.

 

A lot of people are under the mistaken impression that because Gennady doesn't wobble all over the place following a great shot he doesn't get hurt.

He does get hurt but he's able to keep his composure and recuperate very quickly.

 

GGG has a very good chin. Jacobs surprised me with his as well, he took a great full power overhand right from GGG right on the button and then another right and got up without being hurt

 

I felt that with ward. When he gets caught with a good shot he seems to push his opponent back which to me looks like he is pushing forward but I think is getting holding recovery time

 

Imagine what those 2 shots would have done to Danni Geales.

 

Fair point actually and I've seen a few reports that said this about Jacobs.
It was strange to see Golovkin not put his head down and bomb.

Golovkin seems to have a good chin, but if you look closely at the fight, many of the shots that Jacobs was landing were slapping, he wasn't landing with the knuckle most of the time.
