The guy gets a lot of hype, so what's his potential? Can this guy be a world champ or multiple weight class champ? What are his strengths and weaknesses? What type of fighter is he?
He is amazing off the backfoot, and mid range, but he needs to learn how to pressure fight too,it sucks they're no five tool boxers like back in the day,Floyd is a five tool I believe ward is too GGG Lomachenko Are Five Tool Tyszu Was A Five Tool Dela Hoya Was A Five Tool Experience In All Boxing Fields And All At Equal Levels In Each Field,Conlan Trainer Had Him Focused On The BackFoot His Whole Career It Sucks
decent fighter.. I think he may win a world belt at one point . however I don't think he will ever reach framptons level.
He will never reach the heights McGregor reaches in his first ever boxing event and for an Olympic boxer this is sad and will hurt our sport in the long run IMO
Huge. Conlan has great boxing skills, but he's great on the inside, that's where he beat the hell out of Nikitin, his backfoot skills and movement are on point, as well as his head movement and defense, he uses great body punches and knows how to unlock your defense like the ukranians. The biggest questions are his chin and power, but he has the skill, talent, toughness and the right mentality.
come on, he's got a Olympic bronze, a world Gold, European gold and a commonwealth gold, hardly "not that great"
He will need to tighten up his defence, not be hot-headed, and avoid getting hit with 'silly' shots -also I wonder has he real pro power? Time will tell.....
I can see a fight between him and Frampton being HUGE in Belfast in a few years. "The king in the North"....sells itself
