Foreman said alot of things,Liston may have hit harder then...Foreman had a more powerful jab in the 90's. No one of 6'5 240 pounds was around in Listons era who could throw an elite jab. Sure liston broke alot of sub 200 pounders down why wouldnt he? What would Foreman's jab look like if he hit the same opponents? Bowe had a strong jab and would be known as a terror in the 50's trying to avoid it ,unlike Liston also he just didnt throw one stiff one he double and tripled it also set it up for right hand punches more than anything.

And for all that, Bowe struggled with a cokehead Tubbs, had to foul his way to a stoppage against the cardboard cutout known as Coetzer and had his career ended by the soft Golota. Kinda makes one think.

No. Height and reach have nothing to do with each other which is precisely why they are listed separately. Often being taller also means greater arm length, but not in this case. Liston had incredibly long arms for a man of 6'1". And while Holmes' jab may or may not have been better, that has nothing to do with Bowe. You'd be hard pressed to find very many people who would steadfastly claim that Bowe had a better, longer or harder jab than Sonny Liston. Now there may be some valid reasons for picking Bowe to win, but the jab comparison isn't among them.

At least Tubbs was prime. Lewis struggled with past prime cokehead Tony Tucker in a title bout.

Bowe beat the breaks of Coetzer without any fouling until he mixed it up to the body and accidentally cought him with a low blow late in the fight.

I take it you never saw Bruno vs Coetzer?
That was a foul riddled performance if ever there was one. Makes the Bowe fight look like tiddly- winks in comparison .
Bruno threw more shoulders , heads and elbows then he did punches. Even the UK commentators said it was a disgrace.
Coetzer was never the same ever again .

I saw Bruno out -box Lennox Lewis , much cleaner and easier then he did with Coetzer.

And if Bruno had ever faced Bowe , he would have been clubbed into submission in a one-sided beat down.

As for Liston , thats a hard fight for Bowe. Sonny ranks high H2H fantasy wise. I see Bowe getting the worst of it early but prevailing mid way through with a furious onslaught of ripping hooks and uppercuts and Sonny starts thinking he doesn't want no part of this bruta no more.
    Ya dig?

Disagree. Never faced a big puncher, and much too hittable with a suspect chin. but thats just my opinion and people are free to disagree with it

The only good fighter that bowe faced that had a style like bruno's was golota. Bruno also happened to punch very hard. So Bowe would almost be guaranteed to go down and get badly hurt in that fight. He would probably still win because bruno was better than anyone else at giving away lead

Golota was much better than Bruno. Put his punches together better and was more fluid and loose than stiff and creaky Bruno.

It doesn't matter how a super heavyweight fights. He's fighting Liston not some super heavyweight. Liston is 10x more dangerous than Holyfield ever was.

Mate, bowe ****s him up. Different levels. If Brunos jab takes over, Bowe just turns it in to a dog fight. Its a no prob fight up close for bowe. Massive skill difference....HUGE DIFFERENCE

I agree bowe wins against bruno. Liston? not sure, but bowe has proven he couldnt take liston's punch at all so i would favor liston
