Ray Robinson v Thurman

Robinson had already beat LaMotta and went into the rematch wanting to beat him again in a scrap for the crowd so he abandoned his boxing.
That was Rays personality. He took the loss and came back in the same month and overturned it. Thats 3 fights he had in a single month. Two against LaMotta.
Thurman wouldn't have a prayer against either men. Different breed. Different levels.

 

Actually I agree with that point. LaMotta was a club fighter. He was similar to Rocky Marciano in the regard of him only winning a belt because he was Italian and the mob controlling boxing.

Sugar Ray Robinson whole career was basically him fighting a bunch of slow, plodding, no talent white guys. If he would fought in 80's for example he would not been nearly as sucessful. That being said he would still be Thurman because Thurman isn't anything special.
