170k against his best opponent to date vs 250k he did that with Lara boring ass Lara. Boxing is a business and sport. GGG is the B side and Cinnamon is the A side. If you don't like it tell GGG to fight people who matter and challenge himself.

So according to G fans, Canelo isn't the A side. Okay. They get more deranged by the day.

But in all honesty I blame GB more so than K2. But it's by default. You got a guy demanding 3 to four times money he can garner and the risk isn't worth reward. It's common sense. I wouldn't give a guy who hasn't done much an easy payday and on top of it being a diva. Both are to blame but I don't think Canelo will fight him until G is clearly shot.

This a side b side is what stops the fights from Happening. Cash cows bull****. If Canelos's moved up to middleweight to fight for titles he needs to stop talking about this **** all time. Obviously De la Hoya's behind it, but hes already made Canelo look a Fanny handing over the belt. Out of interest, what do you think this fight could gross ?

TBH, in this environment, I dont think it breaks 1 million PPV buys. Cotto had a big fan base still going into that fight. GGG fan base as we have seen is 170k households. Throw in the streaming and boom the fight doesnt break 1 million buys.

Canelo. They should be fighting this May or already fought last september oh wait Canelo threw the WBC middleweight belt away because he didn't want to fight Golovkin.

500k tops. Casuals aren't into mega fights anymore because May/Pac enlightened them to the ploy of overrating a fighter. That was 5 million potential customers who could've kept boxing more relevant but the shoulder debacle and one sided nature of the fight exposed boxing. Also they're events can't compete with UFC. You may have one good fight on the undercard now days but that's it. UFC you have atleast 3 good fights and the PPV lasts for hours. The market in Britain right now is huge sure, but it's doesn't do well everywhere else.

Boxing needs to get back to quality cards and main events. G's hype isn't transferring into money. Canelo is only marginally successful as boxings biggest star but can be over took easily by May or PAC.

Boxing is already taking a hit. These promoters need to get together and stage big ppv events with the best fighters we have to offer to win people back. Boxing also needs to stop downplaying more technical fighters like Ward and Rigondeaux to promote other guys and agenda that isnt even selling that much.

The science of boxing is what separates it from other combat sports. It's an acquired taste, it's not for everyone. It's more exclusive. Trying to dumb down the sport to make it more user friendly is not working. That ADHD **** works for mma but boxing is a sport you have to pay attention too. Technical fighters have their part to play as well. Boxing is now becoming moreso a marketing formula than being a science. Just my opinion.

As far as Canelo and G, I really don't give a **** about the fight. I truly believe Canelo is just waiting for G at the opportune moment when it's best to strike. This fight won't happen until another couple of years.

All that has been explained ad nauseum but the truth does not fit your agenda.

It's funny how many people were saying that GGG hadn't signed because he was focusing on the Jacobs fight and will wait after the fight. GGG and team gambled and waited thinking GGG/Jacobs would be a success since GGG sells arenas, P#P fighter and popular. Guess what, that plan back fired and now we know as good as GGG is to fill arenas it doesn't transfer to the main money making revenue PPV.

Also, please read the TS it says who's to blame for 2017. What has GGG and team done this year to make the fight happen, besides declining offers and saying they want a percent.

its not Canelo , its Oscar.

The problem is - You get beat off Floyd - its ok, it will only be on points anyway and that was meant to happen.

When / If he fights Canelo - he gets beaten so bad he isn't the same afterwards.

GB is clearly to blame and they are the ones stalling the fight and everyone with a brain knows it. But what K2 is demanding is a % split as B side !! 60-40, could go to 65-35 A side vs B side. Thats what they want, it could even be 5-6 million if the ppv flops. What they want makes sense, ODLH is throwing around that 10, 15 M sums, and he's now backing down from that.

Also I'd like to add that these soviet fighters will never be big ppv starts in America. It just wont happen

Good post. I think GGG Canelo would do at least more than 600k that the Canelo Khan fight did.
