marquez destroys him. He would probably get dropped like he always does but stylistically corrales is almost a match made in heaven for marquez
He pretty much was. He was slow of hands, slow of feet. Average stamina and mediocre pure boxing skills. He a massive puncher who blew people up. That's what he was.
Coralles is game and will never back down. Marquez is a precision counter puncher. Coralles size will be an issue early, but I expect Marquez to carve him up for late knock out.
I don't think JMM would beat Corrales easy at all. Corrales had size and reach over JMM at 130+ pounds, and the version who outboxed Casamayor in the second fight would have given JMM fits. I see it as a true 50/50 fight, and besides, how would JMM have faired against Castillo and Freitas at 135, fights Corrales Excelled in?
Jmm was just in another class. There's a good chance he gets dropped by a left hook, Chico's bread and butter, but Jmm was always most dangerous when he was wounded. The combination punching and counterpunching would had been too much, Jmm wins by tko. I think a prime Castillo was a better matchup, one I think Castillo might have edged Jmm at 135 in a decision. Castillo was always the better fighter than Chico, but Chico spit out his mouthpiece, he laid it all out, gambled, and won a very unlikely comeback.
