I think he will get the credit that is due from most and history will be kind to him in regards to this fight. If he beats GGG too easy people will say that GGG was old and others will say GGG was never that good.

Its not like its a Garcia-Morales fight where Morales was a total shell of himself, its more like a poor mans DLH-Whitaker where the prime young lion beats the older but still reigning pound 4 pound champion.

This video really illustrates Canelo's overall skills. He uses excellent feints, his defense is clearly above average as there is an actual defensive skill set, and his counter punching abilities are his biggest asset.

I'm a big Golovkin fan but I think I'm a reasonable fan and overall a fan of the sport first

I don't see canelo achieving that feat but if he did I'd give him full credit. I mean a TKO/KO isn't a disputed decision

Do I have to list your previous prediction threads?

    Do I?

Now you've said that I am more confident than ever Golovkin wins.

Good post. Even though I disagree with Golovkin being the favorite, he does have a good chance as any top world level fighter does to upset Canelo and would deserve full credit if he did.

Canello is a great talent,a potential great, and its easy to forget how young he is.i think he has a shot vs ggg if he fights smart, hes better than anyone ggg has fought thus far and it will be intriguing if they ever do meet.the jacobs fight has got to give him some kind of confidence as we seen him troubled for the first time ever really.
The only problem is that everytime golovkin is mentioned,he blatently runs away from it,if you skip to 0.09 of the video it shows you canellos reaction the last time ggg called him out.

I think outside of a bad decision most fans will be satisfied and give praise

if it's remotely close we will see some complaining but that's all. this place did hit all time lows with the Pacquiao was robbed crowd

I think Canelo might well have his hands full with Chavez Jr, there are plenty of very respected boxing people saying Chavez Jr is focused, dedicated and is well on course to make the weight without damaging himself too much.

Canelo and his fans might be on course for a bit of a shock or a nail biter just like the Golovkin fans were with Jacobs.

I really hope there isn't any bad decisions here. For the sake of this place. The forum is still recovering from Pac-May and it was actually a great decision!

Why a TKO and not a KO?

Maybe hes predicted a TKo victory for Canelo? Sounds legitimate.

I think if Alvarez stopped GGG no matter if it happened last year or next, Golovkin would immediately be overrated and people would converge to the next.

I would be incredibly surprised. Jacobs presented the same challenges for G that he would present for Canelo. The difference is that G proved he can turn up the volume and surpass someone as big, strong, and skilled as Jacobs, whereas Canelo has not yet done so.

I would give Canelo massive props if he beats GGG before 2018-19.
