There’s a well-known survey in sports, known as the Goldman Dilemma. For it, a researcher, Bob Goldman, began asking elite athletes in the 1980s whether they would take a drug that guaranteed them a gold medal but would also kill them within five years. More than half of the athletes said yes. When he repeated the survey biannually for the next decade, the results were always the same. About half of the athletes were quite ready to take the bargain.

Only recently did researchers get around to asking nonathletes the same question. In results published online in February, 2009 in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, exactly 2 of the 250 people surveyed in Sydney, Australia, said that they would take a drug that would ensure both success and an early death. “We were surprised,” James Connor, Ph.D., a lecturer at the University of New South Wales and one of the study’s authors, said in an e-mail message. “I expected 10-20 percent yes.” His conclusion, unassailable if inexplicable, is that “elite athletes are different from the general population, especially on desire to win.”

It seems you're the idiot. PEDs should be a perma ban in contact sports. People die in contact sports, everything should be God given you absolute fool.

Yeah well thats just not reality. You're the fool if you think all these guys are all just using their "god given talent". How is a guy born with explosive punching power knocking the **** out of a journeyman any more fair than a juiced up less talented guy doing the same. You must have grown up in a rich household, because kids that grew up in poverty and misery(and most fighters have) wouldnt mind getting injected with something that increases their chances of providing for their families.
Some of these fighters were crack dealers and thugs before they discovered boxing, taking some PEDs is nothing compared to the alternative

:crybaby2:Legal supplements & gym equipment aren't 'god given' you naive little sissy. Everybody is on something, if you can't live with that, find a new interest. I would suggest jigsaws or colouring-in books.

Why did Jacobs not have to take any drug tests? Golovkin took the tests. Jacobs did not obey the rules for the IBF and gained huge amount of weight, Golovkin beat and hurt a cruiserweight, but he carried Jacobs at time, did go all out when he could have. If a rematch happens, Golovkin will knock him out...................Roid Jones was caught taking roids in Indiana, Mosley was caught, admitted taking roids, etc.

Jacobs is probably on cancer meds. Sure he would test positive, because even substances like coffee and coca-cola are banned via olympic testing (not sure about USADA), so there's no way he'd be clear to compete because standards are rigorous which just wouldn't be fair to Jacobs. I really don't believe cancer meds would enhance his performance and there is another thing ... PEDS tend to increase all sorts of tissues in your body, which means you can get cancer using them and just for that reason only, common sense dictates, Jacobs is not using that ****, because it would kill him. Yes he was bigger, yes he skipped weight, yes he still got outboxed, but NO, Jacobs can't be taking PEDS it would be suicide.

I identify as a fan of Golovkin and had him winning clearly (even without the knockdown) but come on now. Why would he carry Jacobs when he had a 23 fight KO streak going and knowing judges can be guilty of favouring fighters from their own country when it goes to the cards (Kovalev/Ward). Golovkin wasn't as aggressive as usual but that was down to the threat Jacobs posed himself as well as his movement but if Gennady saw a chance to take him out, he would have done so without hesitation, believe that.
