The NFL rule for overtime are dumb asf! The first team to score a touchdown wins or if the first team to possess the ball only scores a field goal the other team get the ball and has to either tie with a FG or win it with a TD. Why not just make the rule each team is guaranteed atleast one possession. If one team scores a td/fg the other team gets the ball and a chance to tie. If they dont score its game over.
The way boxing is now is fine. I dont want to see no overtime nonesense. Some say go to an uneven number of rounds but if there is a knockdown youre back to square one anyway. You already have an uneven number of judges so in theory the likelyhood of a draw is pretty slim and would be eve slimmer if not for the corruption in the sport. Come on now think about it, most draws seem like complete bs.

Fighters are trained to 'leave it all in the ring' after 12 rounds. With the possibility of over time, they would all hold something back just in case they have to box on. This idea would lead to more tactical fights and less wars. So it's a no from me...

It's an interesting idea. I remember K1 used to do it during the grand prix.

NFL is going to change overtime to 10 minutes. Something about player safety.

NO freaking way should there be OT for boxing. It takes 4-5 mins to add up the cards, the boxers are
cooling down, adrenaline is going down, and you want them to start fighting again?

    no way.

Without really mulling it over id tend to say no. I hate draws, i want a winner but if the fights that close maybe sometimes nobody deserves to win. And by 12 they should of both put it all in there. But like i say, i hate draws.

Some fighters would become a whole lot more formidable if fights went 15 again - imagine Froch taking people on over 15! Would of been a nightmare for anyone over that longer distance.

How would the overtime work for the lesser round fights, and the combatants engaging in those fights...???

Many commissions have regulations that a boxer of a certain age category can not fight a certain number of rounds without special permission granted by the commission...!!!
