Is Errol spence doomed? Roach picking him to stop Kell Brook

picks Spence bet the house on Brook.

I can't recall one time when Kel looked even remotely like being knocked out in any of his fights, although I suspect GG would have got a stoppage eventually. But Spence is no GG when it comes to power, and that fight was at middleweight and bares no relation to this WW match-up. And are we sure Spence hits harder than Porter? Maybe Roach is thinking about the fact Kel is boiling back down to 147, but he's always come down from 180ish throughout his career, so nothing new there. Predicting Kel will be KO'd cannot be based on robust evidence, it's just words...

 

I don't think he likes brook from being amir khans trainer..

 

You know what, I thought exactly the same thing but then wondered if Roach still gets on with Khan after he was sacked and replaced by Hunter?

 

Its a good fight that i can't call, Spence is looking REAL good, But hes not faced anybody like brook, That said some guy's truly rise to the occasion when they get their chance on the big stage, Only time will tell, If anything i do think people are actually underestimating brook, That guy is one tough sob. He took those shots from GGG very well, Spence hits no where near as hard, I would be very surprised if Spence got the stoppage. My prediction is either Spence on points or brook by stoppage. I think brook is coming for the stoppage, he will be hyped up by the uk fans and after his loss to GGG he will want to make a statement. Looking for the stoppage could also be his downfall.My guy feeling leads me to favor Spence slightly but i don't know man ****ing gr8 fight tho i can't ****ing wait for this one.

 

Man even though Roach has a history of bad pick I have to go with him on this one.

 

Although Brook would have felt some heat from real boxing fans had he avoided this fight, it could have been easily justified to casuals after moving up to 160 to box GG- 'I've outgrown 147, natural weight is now SWW etc etc'. But he chose to defend his title. So Brook must have some genuine self-belief he can beat Spence.

 

Since 2012 all I see is a massive rise of the Olympians.
