I got OD to win this based on what I have seen so far, both have potential to do well at world level, lets hope the fight gets made.

Thought I'd give this thread a bump and I'll tell you why..

According to Eddie Hearn in his latest IFL interview he made an offer to Taylor and his people to fight O'Hara, Hearn said he thought it was lot of money and they turned it down for not being enough.

So Hearn went back and said he "put another chuck on" the offer and he hasn't heard anything from them.

Can I ask Taylor fans why hasn't Team Taylor accepted this very good offer? Why is there now silence?

Also can this be considered a "duck"?

If this was the other way around I'm sure there would be plenty on here slaughtering O'Hara for not accepting the deal and saying he ducked Taylor.

Josh Taylor has only had one fight, why is he expected to fight Davis ?

If Ohara declined the fight i would see it as a duck, a 15 fight pro turning down a 1 fight pro (regardless of am exp) looks bad. Doesnt seem bad for a 1 fight pro to turn down his second fight with a 15 and 0 pro who is damn good though. If he feels he wants a few more fights first id say that is perfectly understandable

I dont get Hearns logic trying to match it up either, why would he kill off one of his stars like that so early

Mate, not sure if you are confused who josh Taylor is. He is 9-0, Commonwealth champion and is with Cyclone promotions. Think your confusing him with Josh kelly..

Hearn offered Jake McGuigan 70k for the fight if I was Taylor I would have but their hand off. 70k a lot of money for a domestic level fight.

I think Taylor is going places.
As @moog said its a great offer for a domestic fight and i think Taylor would win a wide UD or late stoppage imo.
Would be disappointed if it doesnt get made, would give Taylor a decent platform to show what he can do.

Surprisingly Hearn conceded that it could be on a Cyclone show- decent fight, would be awesome if it was on terrestrial TV instead of on an PPV undercard.

Taylor stops him - far too much class and also carries power!! Good fight if it can be made

If it's as they are saying such an easy nights work for Taylor then why haven't they taken the offer?70k is more than fair imo.
