    when he fought berto he did around 400,000 to 500,000 ppv buys which proves was never a big seller on his own right.

    imagine how he would struggle to sell nowadays?

    500 000 buys is still a **** ton for a sparring session and I don't even like Mayweather. He's the biggest draw in the history of boxing, deal with it.

    some wrinkle of truth to this but I'm not sure how different the figures would be

    in the same breath Pacquiao didn't become a ppv sensation til his name got associated with Floyd's

    There is no doubt he went for fighters with a huge national following to rake in the cash, but you can't really criticise him for it as it is smart business.

    that was right in the middle of the Floyd drama where people tuned in because they thought maybe the Floyd fight was next

    maybe but clottey HAS no fans much less known then berto

    Floyd even at that time would not draw more then 600,000 buys with clottey

    think of it this way 500 k people tuned in tovwatch a fight everyone knew how it would end. Floyd broke records with Pacquiao and Canelo but now Canelo cant even sell 500k ppv against an unknown fighter. Dont let the hate blimd you, Floyd has the top 3 higgest ppv fights of all time

    He is the biggest draw in boxing history but only because People want to see him lose .
    He is an unbelievable boxer and maybe the best counterpuncher in history , but his fighting
    style is not really exciting to watch for casuals.
    The most People who are watching his Fights want to see him lose because of his c**ky attitude
    and because they are jealous of him.
