I dont know,mate! Mekhontsev's style is not really made for the pros IMO.
I like watching him as I can appreciate his art of boxing,but most casual fight fans as well as many box aficionados only want to see blood and kos.
Pro boxing is a business.Fighters like Mekhontsev dont really fare well in the paid ranks.
Do your remember Vitaly Tsypko? Great fighter but quite boring to watch for most fight fans+he didnt know how to sell himself+he didnt really have a flamboyant character.
For me Mekhontsev is a Tsypko copy.I am not even sure that he will be able to reach Tsypko' s level.Anyway! I like him and the way he fights.Thats enough for me.Lets hope for the best!
