Before the first fight the usual suspects were saying that he'd never fight him. When Ward beat Kovalev they called a robbery. After that they said he'd never give him a rematch. Now that Ward is giving Kovalev a rematch, what will the excuse be after he wins again?
SOB was going to refuse to fight the rematch unless he got all three judges, referee, boxing commission, his commentators, etc., SOB does not want Harold Lederman to score the fight for HBO again either.............Lederman had the first fight 116 - 111 Kovalev................most knew that Kovalev won the fight, including SOB..............SOB is a damned cheat, a real SOB..............
It is...75 to 80% of the viewers saw Kovalev win, and still there is a portion of the boxing fans that are adamant that Ward won. Although Kova was forcing the action, landed more and harder punches and scored a KD. Some even claim Ward won by "schooling" Kovalev. Which can only be due to national or racial bias.
Sad but true. Ward is great fighter and he displayed the heart of a champion but he clearly lost. Many ppl swearing he won are showing more about themselves than what happened in the ring in November.
On the official cards yes, but no one with eyes and the knowledge of the boxing scoring criteria can score the fight to ward without some form of bias.
people still cant come up with any logical reason as to why they'd skew cards for ward...other than just good ole "cold war usa vs russia" nationalism....which makes little sense.....otherwise robbing golovkin would have been just as good(yes i realize golovkin isnt russian no need to point it out) ward is boring...ward dont sell...ward isnt good for boxing...yadda yadda...i swear i saw several threads before the fight "a kovalev win is better for boxing"... people need to realize this..its this simple...there are 3 judges placed at ringside in 3 different positions...they are all seeing different angles...none of them have the benefit of replay or listening to commentary....they may, at times, miss punches the other judges get to see clearly and vice versa....all 3 of them scored the bout for andre ward...if they were going to work together to "rob" kovalev dont you think they could have maybe given kovalev one card just to make it look, ya know, not so obvious? LOL
The three judges thought he won. A conveniently over-looked fact. Be honest if the circumstances were perfectly reversed and the three judges called a Krusher win but media 'experts' thought Ward had done enough, you'd be saying the same as me. We're all biased when invested and you seem more invested than most. Let it go, you'll feel liberated when you do...
it was a robbery everyone doesn't class that as a win even ward was shocked once they announced his "win"
Mayweather and ward were having a little back and forth firing shots at each other prior to this fight so mayweather has a reason to be bias. He is after all the master troll.
