No. Vargas fought how many HOFs in his short career? Exactly.

Also, the Wright fight was very close. I was a big Wright fan as well. I think I had it 115-113 for Wright. Also scored it 114-114 as well.

Hit me up when Canelo fights someone with a pulse. He's a disgrace.

He did, Floyd Mayweather, Erislandy Lara, Austin Trout, Miguel Cotto ect.. ect.
.. I get it, you're bias towards Canelo probably because he gave up the title rather then be told by the WBC when he was going to fight GGG, BUT he's far from a hype job.. In Fact that "hype Job" moniker you're throwing around can be used on GGG since he struggled to beat a guy who was supposed to be "carried out on a stretcher", and "had no shot in hell", but you wouldn't go that far would you, and expose more of your biasness?

Hahahahaha. Lara and Trout are HOF?!

You just proved my point and ended your own argument.

I'm bias for liking GGG? Listen, Jacobs fought the fight of his life and credit to him, but he lost. On his best night and arguably GGG's least best night in a long time, he still lost.

Also, for whatever reason, GGG felt like relying on the jab more than his power. Not sure why but despite that he still won.

I didn't mean that, I guess I misunderstood you. But as a Vargas fan you forcing me to critique his resume. Out of all the HOF fighters,(2) that are actually in the HOF, how many did he beat? Let's be real here, Fernando was rushed a little too prematurely against Felix Trinidad, and that's the fight that messed him up.

Vargas was always good enough to be competitive against the best and in his biggest losses at one point he was ahead on at least 1 scorecard during the fight. However he did lose every fight to each HOF he's been in the ring with, so that argument doesnt hold water.

The whole point of me even bringing it up was because you claim Canelo is a hype job, but you just show your biasness of it all, and it's pertaining to him relinquishing the WBC strap instead of fighting GGG head on.. that's fine, but look at how many potential HOF fighters Canelo's beaten..Cotto and Mosley are certainly HOF bound, that much I'm pretty sure of..

If you don't want to give him credit, that's fine, just don't be afraid to show your biasness either when called out on it.

Fact of the matter is, the majority of this forum and (excluding myself and a few others who thought Jacobs had a good chance) knowledgeable posters thought Jacobs had no chance to win, much less be competitive and turned out to be dead wrong. Sure GGG won but not without showing his weaknesses for the second fight straight to be exact, so what can you possibly say about a guy getting all this damn hype and praise but fails to deliver in a fight he was expected to win big? Hype job, maybe? He deserves it a hell of a lot more than Canelo does, I'll tell you that.

Canelo would lose to many 160 fighters and get knocked out by them

I'd rather he used the bleach on the pair of sweaty Canelo jocks that he keeps under his pillow.

Mosley was shot to bits. Come on! Cotto, while still good, was older and away from his best division (147).

Vargas may not have beaten all those HOF types, but he fought them. Canelo ducked em. Canelo's resume is pretty shaky. He reeks of cash cow and protection in the form of matchmaking.

I'm not saying he's a bad fighter but he is GROSSLY overrated. But with careful matchmaking by his daddy, ODLH, he may never see a loss again.

GGG is also 34, close to 35. He's probably slowing down, despite his team saying he isn't.

I also felt Jacobs would get starched, albeit late, and obviously that wasn't the case. Also, maybe everyone underestimated Jacobs. He may go on to rule the division if GGG leaves 160 or retires. Time will tell how good or average the Jacobs that GGG beat, really is.

Which HOF fighters did Canelo duck? GGG isn't a HOF fighter, there's nobody at 54 that I can recall is/was an HOF fighter, that Canelo hasn't fought. J/S.
