I would have loved to see Leonard-Benitez 2. It seems odd that they fought at such a young age and followed each other up the weight ladder but never fought again. I do think Leonard would always have had the upper hand but I loved their 1st match-up, which was such a chess match between 2 highly skilled fighters. The Benitez who destroyed Mo Hope would have given SRL another tough match.

I don't remember any clamoring for a Chavez vs. Whitaker rematch... maybe I'm remembering wrong.

That's because, despite the controversy over the scoring, it was actually quite a dull and fairly uneventful fight.

Well, at least I thought so.

Randall/ Chavez III should have happened in late '94 but Don King was having none of it. You don't throw away your Mexican Meal Ticket.

They did have a rematch. Rocky won. Less you’re talking about a rubber match but that never happened cos Rocky like Lennox Lewis only gave rematches when he didn’t win. Clubber would have won a third fight if he could get a proper trainer. I would be confident that Drago would have beaten Rocky in a rematch as well.

Larry Holmes vs Ken Norton II, Larry won the WBC Title on June 9 1978 via split decision in 15 rounds, it would have been nice to see an immediate rematch.
