He alienated the great Mexican fans too with his cowardly actions. Don't forget it was Mexican fans that named him EL POLLO ROJO

Wow, sensitive topic for you I see. Put some thought into this thread, ha!

The HBO PPV numbers you see reported are from the United States alone. So, he's the biggest current star in boxing in the United States, in addition to whatever he is in Mexico.

What a dumbass thread. I could very easily say ggg doesnt have fans theyre just ex pac fans and pbf haters who abandoned him after pbf schooled him so they latched on to ggg thinking he was finally the one to bring pbf down. Ggg doesn't have real fans just ex pac fans and pbf haters who just talk **** on boxing forums who won't even spend their hard earned dollars to buy his fights on ppv. Ggg doesn't have real fans outside of boxing forums and the numbers support this.

Just because people that DKSAB readily cough up the $75 for the PPV's because clowns like Mayweather scream they are TBE doesn't mean they really are PIMPLE ROFL The best part is they are the same folk that moan & complain about PPV's Hardly rocket scientists are ya :aplastao::risas3:

Look at their social media accounts. There is no comparison.

In instagram alone Canelo has well over a million followers, while Chavez jr has a mere 100K+.

Good point. 80K PPV for his biggest challenge.

He had good moment around the time he KO Rubio, but fans caught on that he was being matched against nobodies.

How can a casual get excited over a fighter when they can Google who his opponent is and no not to waste 70 dollars, or in Brook's case only 800K tuned in and it was free on HBO.

Funny how one used the other for them both to duck legit threats in their own weight divisions to pass it off as having b alls
I call it something completely different

I agree, you can't say you don't **** around then immediately proceed to **** around.
    It's a bad look.

At the same time however, Golovkin isn't in a strong bargaining position to be
demanding millions upon millions in this matchup.

Both sides of this annoy me quite frankly.

I see what you mean and agree with where you are coming from, however I don't believe Canelo would accept the fight even if GGG took the short money.

I think Canelo's team simply doesn't want the fight, although that may have changed since GGG's fights with Brook and Jacobs.

I think enough money could sway Golden Boy, I agree they are very reticent to take this fight.

Canelo is bigger among Mexican Americans than he's down here in Mexico, so I'd say he has a bigger "genuine" fanbase in the US than here.

But don't get me wrong, he makes decent numbers in Mexico, mostly because of casuals and haters.
