Even though I was fully supporting Williams you have to respect smiths persistence and toughness in that fight. And Williams did also lead with the head.

All the crap outside the ring is usually hyperbole hard to tell what's genuine or not thesedays with the marketing of fighters being at the forefront.

It makes for a tasty rematch which I hope happens. I was really pissed of yesterday but now just hope we can see the rematch so Williams can get his revenge

I agree he was getting outclassed by Williams but I can't say for sure that the clash of heads was deliberate, only Smith will truely know if he went to such low levels to save himself.

 

Just watched it back and gave Smith 2 rds and drawnl in 9th. Even though Williams was tired he landed plenty on the back foot

Was a blatant headbutt and Williams should have won on pts. Can't believe o Connor said it was a punch.

That was messed up all round. The head butt was deliberate, then lockett calls the fight off before the doctor even checked the cut! The doctor would have stopped the fight and then they would have gone to the cards, Walsh would have won!
Am I missing something? Did that dumbass ref miss the head butt and call it a punch?

 

I really didn't understand why Lockett never got the Doctor to see the cut and yes that stupid ref missed the headbutt.
