Hall of Fame trainer Nacho Beristain revealed that he had a verbal clash at the ongoing training camp with former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The came is taking place at the Otomi Ceremonial Center in Mexico. Their dispute got to the point where Nacho told Chavez Jr. that he would not accompany him to Las Vegas for the scheduled fight with Canelo Alvarez, which takes place on May 6th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

According to Nacho, their dispute began because Chavez Jr. wanted to finish their camp this week in the Otomí to travel to Mexico City or Las Vegas to finish up the rest of the camp. However, Nacho asked him to stay until April 28-29 because he did not want to spoil the month and a half work they've already had at 3,200 meters above sea level. Nacho made it clear that he would not be working the corner if Chavez Jr. left Otomi. Chavez Jr. has often been criticized by some of his past trainers for doing whatever he wants in camp. "That annoyed me a lot (that Chavez Jr. wanted to finish camp early at Otomi). I told him he was wrong, we've been in here for a month and a half and on a whim he wants to ruin the job. I'm not playing around, I'm a professional. I told him, 'I'm not going to Las Vegas like this.' He convinced himself that I'm not playing around and then he told me he's fine, whatever I say," Nacho told ESPN Deportes. "I just told him I did not agree with that decision, it's stupid to spoil everything we've worked for. We still have two weeks of hard work.

Chavez will be so drained he'll make a career acting in The Walking Dead if the producers of this show see him weigh in lol

And more importantly he's a mental midget.

He can't win this fight, they only chose him because he's beatable and his fathers huge name.

I think Jr has to respect his trainer. His father would agree. I think its a combination of Beristan being Mexican and a legend.

Nacho was brought in to do a job. If he's prevented from doing it how it should be done, Nacho walks.

Besides, the altitude acclimatization will make recovering from the weight cut at lower lying land much easier.

I'm glad Chavez is doing lots of altitude work. This will help him in the later rounds.

He should listen to Nacho. 2 weeks of pain means he could win the fight of his life.

If he ruins his conditioning and Canelo takes him deep, boy o boy, will he rue it when his arms feel like lead, the ol' jaw is tight with fatigue, breath comes hard ... and Ginger is still chugging along.

That's one thing about Canelo: he is always prepared.

Jr likes to gamble and party. Why would Nacho be cool with him going to Vegas early? It's a recipe for disaster.

They should take a picture of two naked hot hookers sitting on a mountain of tacos and beer:

"THIS is what you get if you beat Canelo"

And another picture of Oscar in his fishnets holding a whip:

"YOU are what Oscar gets if Canelo beats you ..."

Call the paramedics, Canelo is going down!

    :ambulance:

Thankyouthankyouthankyou. It took me ten minutes of careful consideration to get it just right.

Some people don't appreciate the effort behind these little gems. But you, sir, are a conner ... connosc ... consieur? ... guy that appreciates these things :good:
