Ward making Kovalev more and more angry

If Ward is making Kovalev angry why is Ward's team losing their cool and resorting to racist trash talk?

Its a bad thing, kov showed him too much respect the first time. Remember Leonard before the Hagler fight only said nice things about Marvin, because if you pissed him off he trains and fights harder.

 

I like Kovalev but I think Ward psyched him out

you could tell in the first fight he was so concerned with wards head in the prefight and spent so much time trying to pull wards head down and get tied up rather than box

Kovalev wore down or at least coasted a little and paid the price. he proved he can box with Ward and hurt him. he needs to jab and body punch more and if he drops him again must go for the finish

I do think Ward getting up from the knockdown was the best form of trash talk Ward could have provided. proved he could take the punch and stay there

I believe Kovalev landed less than 30 body punches all fight

 

Good or bad for Kov or ward, it's hard to tell at this stage. But I like real BAD BLOOD.
It's good for the promotion and hopefully for the actual fight itself. Hope with all this bickering it sell well, they deserve to get paid.

 

Few perform at their very best when angry. More often anger is a contributor to poor performance.

 

I"m curious to see how Kov reacts if the rematch starts getting the same feel as the first fight. Will he have the mental toughness to keep pressing or will thoughts of getting robbed again start to creep into his thoughts? I can see Kov getting really frustrated if Ward is still around in the mid to late rounds and performing well.

 

it depends on how kovalev uses his rage. it can blind him or it can focus him completely to the task at hand. chavez sr. used to channel his anger quite successfully.

Kovalev fought, SOB held, grabbed Kovalev's leg, used his elbow, tried to use his head, Kovalev now knows that SOB has nothing to hurt him, blows to the balls were SOB's best punches............Don't forget, those who worship SOB also worship Mayweather, yet Mayweather picked Kovalev as the winner, Harold Lederman had the fight scored 116 -111 Kovalev, he has been a judge for years and years, the vast Majority of fans picked Kovalev, boxing writers picked Kovalev, the crowd at ringside booed the decision, even SOB fans..................it was a clear robbery...........hell, the fight was not even close................
