Take off the Pavlikite glasses, or ask the guide dog what he saw He did the same thing he always does. The key difference in that fight was Taylor fought much smarter and cagier, as you would when you just got KTFO, so Pavlik had to show him a bit more respect You are just imagining he did something different, because it helps you legislate for Taylor taking him 12 rounds this time. Tell me something he did differently? Walk forward, pump out jab/doublejab, throw right hand. Repeat.
joe has to much ring smarts and abilty for pavlik to KO joe. Joe is one of the best fighters in taking and adapting tactics in fights. I just think pavlik will be to static and joe would have to much movement and ability for pavlik. I mean has pavlik faught anyone close to calzaghe???? bad match up for pavlik calzaghe UD also yes i agree pavliks right hand is a danger but joe is one of the best in adapting in the ring to anything pavlik has, pavlik to me hasn't shown me the same ability that we can say he can adapt to anything joe can bring to the fight
Calzaghe won't be around next year. He'll fight RJJ and head for the exit. Of course, he'd much rather fight Pavlik, but Pavlik shouldn't fall into that trap. He doesn't need to.
Tell me who JC has fought? Any of the top names, Kelly KO's them, too. Very simple math, here. OK guys. Gotta go. Time for my nap!;-)
People forget that Joe does have power. I've talked to people who have sparred with him and he is very heavy handed. He does not however put much into his left anymore and he also did not load up against Hopkins at all. He was punching short in order to land and it worked. Against Pavlik he would be able to land much easier and would out more into him. If you've followed Joe's carear you would see this pattern many times. If he has trouble hitting someone he will throw short amateur punches but once he finds his range and his opponent slows down then he puts more in. Once he does he has decent power. Against Hopkins he could never do this as Hopkins was always elusive. Pavlik wouldn't be.
Yeah, best thing it to sleep it off...make sure you drink a pint of water before bed though...helps with the dehydration. These are good too: This content is protected
Jetski its not about who pavlik can KO we are discussing ABILITY and general skill as a boxer. Very simply math if you look at those facts (ring smarts, movement etc etc) calzaghe does come out on top. I am no calzaghe or pavlik fan but i just feel joe has a bit more ability then pavlik as a boxer and take away a target away from a puncher then there is not much for the puncher to do -boxer with skills will always beat a puncher like pavlik
Extremely good point People get this idea Calzaghe habitually throws those types of punches if they have seen a limited amount of him, but it is not the case at all.
Serious UD by JC, pavlik has ONE game plan, what the hell is he gonna do after round two when joe has him completely sussed? Cal is a level above pavlik in boxing ability and id would not be suprised to see a lacy type flurry and spin off performance from joe whilst pavlik would have no answer.
Hey Iceland! Do me a favor Bro! Go put your oven on warm and defrost your brain for an hour! In Pavlik/Taylor II, with injuries to BOTH HANDS, Pavlik adapted to a much improved Taylor, and very clearly out boxed the man who is supposedly more ahtletic, more skilled, and has more big fight experience! 116/112 was the right score! When the scores were announced I thought the 117/111 was two wide. After watching the fight a couple times I could see easily how that judge arrived at that score!
i would agree i am not a active calzaghe supporter but i to think its not a good fight for pavlik, he doesn't have anything other then a punch to cause joe problems. once joe adapts and figures pavlik, kelly will find it VERY hard to get in the fight (unless joe doesn't get sloppy and lets kelly land his murderous right hand). also we have to point out that joe has a good chin to.
Hey boo, I'll do you a deal. I go defrost my brain if you go tell Scout I want a piece of that ass :hey Yeah you know that means your ugly ass has to step outside the house. I don't want to hear about hands. Mayweather has a bad hand. So does Malifaggi. Kessler had a bad hand. Calzaghe habitually fights with a bad hand. He outworked Taylor, that is all I saw from him, the gameplan was the same. Except this time Taylor was smarter, and went 12
