Szpilka confirmed that Mike Mollo hits harder than Wilder. Just saying.

Wilder has shown real power in that right hand but more specifically the overhand and straight cross.

Mike Tyson had power in both hands and his knockouts feature the overhand right, the cross, short inside right, left or right hook, left or right uppercut.

I'd have to spar both of them in their prime to really know for myself which of the two has the 'better power'.

He may as far as one punch power goes Wilder has shown tremendous power. As far as skills go Tyson has a clear advantage.

No point of having power when you're windmilling...

A guy who jumps into midair while delivering his windmills can't ever have more power than Mike Tysons whose treet-trunk legs and feet were firmly planted on the ring-floor at all times.

Wilder has a whip like power in his right hand that might, just might, be comparable to Tyson when he throws it straight down the pipe. I'd say his power is more comparable to someone like Razor Ruddock minus the controlled delivery.

Yeah but in Jess Willard style, not Ali.
Which is not necessarily the worst thing...

This has probably already been said but I haven't read the whole thread. Would Jason Gavern get to the 4th with Mike Tyson? Would any of Wilders defences get out of the first with Mike Tyson?

one whiff of wilder's fists can buckle your knees. just ask his old pal malik scott whose knees and will disintegrated when he felt the brute force of a whiffed windmill first hand.

I completely agree. Wilder is a super heavyweight.. He's much bigger than Tyson so naturally he'd be more powerfull.

I don't agree that the greats from tha past can't be dethroned in terms of skill and power.

Some people think it's blasphemy to even think there can be another heavyweight who's as talented as Ali.

Wilder may have more power than Tyson but that being said power isn't everything. Wilder has close to zero boxing skill and a prime Mike would destroy him.

How is Wilder a superheavyweight? What's his average weight for fights? About 220 something, isn't it?

He's just a lanky regular heavyweight. Tyson dealt with guys like him on the regular.
