Should Hughie fire Team Fury?

    Seriously.

    His career is going down the toilet due to his association with this 'family.' He could do with a good PR move by leaving this clan, associating himself with some proper and respectable boxing people and blowing the whistle on the rest of the Furries.

    Look at it:

    Uncle Peter, the trainer, needed a special dispensation to even get into New Zealand (where he's obviously not going now) because he's a convicted drug trafficker. Peter let the cat out of the bag that the pullout was going to happen when he started raving about 'antics' ... making it clear that the injury excuse is rubbish.

    Hughie's cousin Tyson is mentally ill and about the size of a large blimp. He says embarrassing things and pulls out of fights, fails drug tests and otherwise damages the image of the sport.

    Of course Hughie has his own bacne problems, an alleged failed drug test for a PED and some lame excuse for an earlier ring absence where they made him a laughingstock by claiming he has worms. More lately they blamed his steroid-induced body sores on some kind of horrid skin condition that should likely have him in quarantine being studied for medical science if true.

    Hughie's father is the one who allegedly is behind this fraudulent pullout, so his advice is no good.

    No one on this team of "professionals" has even bothered to put out a statement. If it's an alleged injury, why weren't they up front in holding a press conference, bringing forth an independent and reputable doctor to help poor Hughie from being labeled as a quitter and a ducker and damaging his public reputation.

    Hughie can save his career by separating from this filth, stepping forward and letting the UK authorities know who has been providing the PEDs and recreational drugs (there's a likely suspect in the family given dear uncle's past) and publicly stating that he'll have nothing to do with this bunch of Furries.

    Peter isn't Hughie's Uncle, he is his dad. The only time I see him with a new trainer is if his dad is unable to continue training him.

    Kinda hard to fire your family, but yeah, he's got to do setting big like that now to salvage his career. Parker AND WBO will have lost money on this. That means it will be harder for him to get rankings, along with fights. I don't think he'll ever have another opportunity to fight for a title now.

    I wonder if they realize how much damage they've done to his career. A loss in a title fight at age 22 wouldn't have been all that bad for his career. Pulling out like this is.

    tesco joe ' bloody hell hughie it must be true that you have worms, iv never seen a boxer move so much it must have been from the worms, no wonder you were under performing. Don't worry we will get them worms out of you and have you stiff as a board and walking in straight lines in no time'

    Hughie is a big boy, his father didn't force the roids down his throat. I'm confident he was just as for it as his father was. Who knows it may even have been Hughie's idea to enquire about the roids, through curiosity's sake.

    Just because Peter is a former drug kingpin doesn't mean he is responsible for everything that has gone wrong with Team Fury.

    Peter Fury is a top trainer.. It's because of him and his game plan that fat sh*t Tyson beat Vlad.

    He'll never leave his dad. But the Furys are a joke. Lost all credibility and they will struggle to regain it even if they change thier team around.

    If you were one of those fans that booked a hotel and bought a ticket, would you buy another Fury fight ticket after being screwed over like that? NO ONE WOULD. They have a reputation of pulling out of fights (I bought a ticket and took days off work for Fury/Vlad 2) save your money don't waste it on trash like them.

    I fail to see how Tyson Fury is hurting Hughie's career.
    Hughie would probably be struggling to get any notices ahead of guys like Dillian Whyte and Tony Bellew on the British stage at the moment (nevermind be somewhat known and ranked on the world stage) if it weren't for his cousin's big mouth and professional accomplishments.

    What you didn't realize is that he actually DID have worms. The cover story was the truth!

    Roy Jones Jr. for one got rid of his troublesome father, and thrived for it. Hughie needs to dump the family as part of his business operation ... doesn't mean they can't gather for holidays and such, but boxing is his livelihood. If your family interferes with business, you say goodbye and hire professionals.
