Is Canelo overrated?

Sounds like from reading this thread, he's not overrated at all...

 

Canelo is over rated, He barely, barely won against over the hill Cotto imo,

 

Face it you're just another, hating, goal-post-moving moron.

 

I feel he's under rated drastically on here by certain Lara lovers, certain ggg fans and certain trolls. How can a fighter suck and be over rated at the same time, at the same place ?

Canelo, imho is one of the few true elite level fighters we have, and NO the cotto fight wasn't close and he clearly and convincingly beat trout.

He also beat Lara who is over rated by certain on here but still very good.

 

Simply put, Canelo is the product of a weak era in boxing.

 

Been watching the sport more than half my life.

He's over rated as ****.

 

8-4 Canelo buddy... Deal with it.

 

Maybe a Rosado fight on HBO might be better since he got shafted against Murray imo.

 

But even that fight is bleh when there's so many better options at 160. A Danny Jacobs fight would be much better. Saunders/Khurtside winner. Lemiuex. All good names and opponents. As for GGG, ain't gonna happen

 

He's very protected. I feel he is good but he is not elite. He would lose to GGG and a few others. He is matched very selectively, Khan, Chavez, etc.

 

Canelo is popular but not overated. He does have good skill.

Cotto has a great chin the only 2 fighters to stop him are in question for cheating so how can you question his chin? In fact his chin might be underrated for those reasons.

 

Agian a lot people were saying he was looking better than ever with roach but now that he loses excuses like over the hill past prime fraud, bum, come to play, that's eastside boxing at thier best, and people wonder why a lot of fighters duck fights, because of **** locks like this that will never give full credit where credit is due.

 

Canelo is a good fighter and a huge attraction.. Overrated by some.. Underrated by some.. Deffinitely a proffesional.. The Lara fight was a bad fight definitely but everyone has had a bad fight.. Trout was close but he clearly won.. Other than that.. Is he like the best thing ever no.. A good elite fighter.. I think so.. Great resume at a very young age.Only thing that I think bothers me a bit about the guy is how long he stayed at a weight where he was too big for. Fighting smaller guys is bs... I dont care who you are.
