Fights like this is why I'm getting sick of boxing. Damn why didn't he just fight Dominic Breazeale? At least he comes to fight. I'm not sold on Parker yet and I'm sick of Fury playing games. I had a feeling Fury would pull out of the fight.

Parker was set to fight his mandatory and the pr-ck didn't turn up.

If you are looking to blame someone for the late replacement look no further than the Furys.

Which is more than likely. Who is seriously going to take a shot at a world title with only 2 week notice..

So Razvan Cojanu is the current WBO Asian pacific champion and with this title automatically gets a top 15 WBO ranking.
How the hell is a Romanian the Asian pacific champion. This makes he's top 15 ranking a bigger joke than it already was.
Yes, it's last notice but the Parker camp would have got more respect reschedulling the fight for a later date with a creditable opponent. Rather than try a convince the paying public Cojanu is on Furys level.
There's big talk of who may be next but most likely it will be back to Fury once he has submitted some sort of doctors report to the WBO.
Seems like a lost opportunity to delay and set up a meaningful fight.

Who? What? Why? Wilder said he wants a fight in July. So parker couldnt wait 2 more months for a fight? He had to fight this bum?

The Fury camp have delayed once from 1st April to May 6th. Then the pullout. Parker has gone through effectively 2 training camps. Less than 2 weeks out he hears he has to fight another bloke.

Let the man release some aggression.

Then start planning the next fight.

If they had delayed they could easily have found themselves back at the mercy of the quitting Furys.

Hughie, whether he likes it or not, is after all the mandatory.

Some real fools here commenting without doing a speck of research - you don't even have to look far as a complete rundown of available opponents was done yesterday.

Most of those were not truly "available" at all. Not at 2 weeks notice..

I am really disappointed in Hughie Fury...................I do not believe he was injured, he did not want the fight anyway, so why wait so long to cancel?

Why would they ask Ortiz he pulled out of a card several days ago due to an injury.

Is Ustinov in shape and ready to fight? He hasn't fought since 2015, you think he'll get off the couch and fight a title fight on 2 weeks notice? You think the WBO would sanction that considering Ustinov isn't even ranked by the WBO?

Bunch of ****wits in this thread who don't understand how the sport works. And those saying why make it a non title fight and fight Lucas Browne. You think Browne doesn't want the title on the line? He's a contender he wants to be world champion, he isn't taking the risk of Parker without the belt.

Garbage fight but predictable. Parker should not sustain any damage in this fight so he should be available for Wilder afterwards. No excuses this time, the timing is right. I do blame Team Parker. They have the audacity to say this opponent is more dangerous than Hughie Fury. Absolutely shameless so I half expect a duck of Wilder now.

Lucas Browne said on his twitter he would fight Parker 100% even if the title wasn't on the line.
