The odds on WK are to good to pass up. Im considering going with £50 4-6 WK stoppage @12/1 £200 1-6 @ 9/1
IF a knockout is to happen, Joshua will stop him early or get stopped late. Joshua's stamina and overall ability beyond round 4 of an actual tough and even fight would scare me if I were betting on him.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's Wlad who scores an EARLY KO, so those odds are great value. People have to realize Wlad's aware that AJ is dangerous too, so he's less likely to hesistate if the chance to finish this early presents itself. We know Wlad's chin isn't great but AJ's is suspect too. And the big difference is Wlad has won fights against dangerous punchers and got off the floor to win and survive in the past. AJ has never been in the ring with a monster like Wlad. Who knows, if AJ gets nailed he might fall to pieces really quick.
You don't know a thing about sports betting if you're betting on Joshua. Odds are awful for him. Only value lies in Wlad and the fight in total going the distance. Joshua may well win, and convincingly, but the odds are crap to make a profit long term on picking Joshua. Sports betting is about finding value, not about picking who you think will win.
No offense but i don't think 1,67 odds for Joshua to win by KO / TKO / DQ is too bad of a bet, 1,67 @ 100=167, A full win for Joshua @ 1.40 @ 100=140 is pretty low but worth it i guess. "A lot of greats had to learn it the hard way, when to quit, Klitschko reigned undefeated (no robbery wins) for 10 years and fought all his mandatory's to keep those belts, 64 wins 53 Ko's 4 defeats, no matter how boring he for the most guys is, Respect him for his accomplishments, the second longest reigning heavyweight champion of the world in the history of boxing, but everything has an end. Fury cracked his career and i think Joshua will finish it, All fighters get to know when to quit, when they don't know when to quit. Just like Ali and a lot of other big name fighters. As much as i like and respect Klitschko, i just don't think he'll pull this off. I'm pretty sure Klitschko will come and fight like he did for the past 10 years, that's a fact, to me, no need to explain at all, Klitschko didn't change trainers and most of you know that it's impossible for an older fighter to change his fighting style (used and reigned with that style for over 10 years) for a vintage Tyson style or whatever. So i expect when Klitschko gets hit (and he will get hit) that he'll grab and suffocate Joshua (especially if he feels that Joshua's shots could hurt him) into the later rounds, what else will he do?, Klitschko will not exchange shots, Klitschko rarely got involved in a standoff in the past 10 years and Klitschko surely won't try it now (wanna bet? ). I think Klitschko is the better boxer and should outbox Joshua, but i remember Ali and a lot of other big name fighters being the better boxers too when they lost their comeback fights to the hungry younger inexperienced fighter / champion, what makes me think the "better boxer" factor won't play much of a role in this fight, the fighter with the most determination will win this one, in my opinion. Some say Joshua's muscle weight will tire him out throughout the fight, it would be the case if that weight was packed-on recently but he is @ 240+ for almost 2 years now, it surely would have been noticed in training/sparring very fast anyway, Joshua is known for taking his conditioning very seriously, I believe Joshua will be conditioned to go 12 rounds with Klitschko (Fury/Haye etc, went 12, why not Joshua?). Joshua's last opponents, were hurt pretty bad, they (bums or no bums) needed some time on the canvas before getting up, that usually confirms that there was some hard hitting involved, so even if Klitschko's chin hold's up, his face won't, if it goes to distance, Klitschko face gets bruised pretty easily when hit, chances are he'll get cut badly in this fight. Klitschko needs a KO victory to win this fight anyway, I don't think Klitschko will win this one on points... Joshua by KO / TKO / DQ (Klitschko could get DQ for excessive holding) and a full Joshua win don't seem bad bets to me. I'll try them both. Good luck guys. (hopefully Joshua won't get KO'd or TKO'd ).
I'm usually an underdog bettor, a strategy that has served me very well this year with so many upsets. But on this bout, I went pretty heavy on Joshua, both straight and with various props. Joshua ML at -198 Joshua wins by KO/TKO/DQ or UD -168 Joshua wins by TKO (not KO or DQ) +230 Joshua wins by TKO (not KO or DQ) +255 Joshua wins in rounds 5-8 +317 Wladimir Klitschko to be knocked down -162 Under 8½ rounds +100
But he doesn't really want Wlad to win anyway because I thought he didn't like Wlad at all. By betting on him, he wins whoever happens. Well... kinda.
If AJ doesn't get a KO within the first 4 rounds, he's done. Wlad will be more comfortable in this event. AJ will succumb to the nerves and Wlad jab/straight right wearing him down after 6. Wlad by 8th rd KO.
I'm a betting person, but this fight i'm going to be leaving. I believe it's too hard to bet on. If I was going to do a bet then it would be live betting where I could see how the fight is going.
I think this will go long and possibly a points finish. Klitschko will have too much experience and be able to keep behind his jab all night. Only real question to me is whether AJ gets exhausted late and caught with shots. If not then it's likely to be a close points decision but Klitschko should take it.
