What happened to his dream, what happened staying busy and fighting 4 times a year. GGG/Team finally found out they're not the B side and rather wait for big money instead of making peanuts. If Chavez/Canelo does big PPV numbers, they'll get raped in the negotiations. I really don't think the 10 - 15 mil flat fee will be on the table. This fight is going in the Mayweather/Pacquiao direction really fast.
GG should first rematch Jacobs and try to clearly beat him without doubts before taking on the winner for his biggest payday of his life.
I remember I'd get attacked when I pointed this out to his hardcore fans, that Golovkin is about the money.
ggg will get less now! if canelo n chaves does good numbers we will see the rematch and ggg will be watching from hes living room
It will be less than 15 mill on the next round of negotiations, you can bet your house on that. Instead of being greedy, they should have jumped at the offer, have it contracted and signed.. oh well, you live and you learn.
It would really be KARMA if Chavez stiffs Oscar comes in in shape & takes Canelo out. Because I cannot believe Oscar would risk his little Pollo Rojo in a level fight, What if Chavez comes in overweight ?? He could be pushing 195 fight night. Couple of months ago Oscar claimed Pollo body wasn't ready to fight @ 160 & you people bought it
It won't be less. I am expecting 25 mil to GGG and something close to 40 mil for Canelo. There is a reason this fight has been marinated for so long.
Nope, GGG isn't a big draw like people suggested. Based off his last 2 PPVS which were flops, despite the claims that the promoter made money, it didn't help his case for more of the PPV pie. He should have taken the 15 mill and ran with it.
Time will tell. Also, his PPV weren't flops, they just didn't have the fanbase support Canelo enjoys. There are only a handful of people that could sell more than him, and most have already retired.
Vitali Klitschkos first PPV sold 180k ppv buys and was considered a flop, so I'm accustomed to think the same when the numbers are almost identical, even though some will say "oh well times have changed" lol. But yeah, time will tell, but from the way Oscar is talking he's disappointed with GGG'S numbers and is now relieved GGG didn't take the 15 mill, because he's simply not that big a draw, which could have lead to losing money on the fight.
alex...most of them are sort of resigned to that fact now....after years and years of berating other fighters for doing it and even claiming ggg wasnt about that for awhile
