He was hurt once against Brook, and that's about it, even the Broner KD he wasn't hurt by, Cotto on the other hand got hurt by Pac, Margo, Mayweather, Torres, Mosley, Judah and Clottey, and he wasn't looking too hot in the later rounds against Trout either.

You make good points. I still think Cotto would win but maybe he wouldn't stop Porter.

Porter is a pitbull man.. I can see Cotto breaking from the mauling he'd get, if he's not able to keep Porter off him. Cotto's success lyes in the center of the ring where he can control distance and box off the back foot. But Porter just doesn't let you breath, it would be a gruelling battle that the smaller Cotto might lose, IF Porter uses his sheer physicality to push him back.

Always liked Cotto...and I like Porter these days. I think a prime Cotto has the tools to adapt, boxing some off the back foot to outpoint the charging Porter. Very tough fight.

Are you talking about that flash knockdown in the 12th? Porter was not hurt at all from that, as I recall he gave a bemused wtf look and got right back up

Cotto not as mobile as Thurman, that might be a problem. Hard fight to call really, I'd watch it!

Maybe. Porter would take a helluva lot more punishment than he has taken in a fight so far. I have a hard time picking brawlers over boxers. Porter has lost all of his big fights for a reason.

Yeah he lost against much bigger, and longer guys than Cotto though. Cotto is short and would probably be at a reach and strength disadvantage against Porter. It's an interesting fight though, one that they(Rock Nation) should consider making.

Cotto isn't smaller than Porter. But I agree. Porter would maul him.

Cotto is small but He is one of the strongest fighters when He was a welterweight, He even bullied fighters bigger than Him. Porter is strong but is like Bradley not a as strong for His kind of style, I don't think Porter can bully Cotto after a few body shots by Cotto.

I can't see Cotto dealing with Porter's pressure long enough before his delicate skin fails him.

Cotto is at least one level above.
