Daily Sports quotes Nobuhiko Takada today as stating that PRIDE will return in Japan on October 11th, which is the 10th anniversary of the promotion’s first event (10/11/1997 at the Tokyo Dome with Takada vs. Rickson Gracie). He promised to deliver an all-star cast of fighters for the event. Whether he is referring to an actual show or a memorial event is unclear.
Takada denied the rumors of a PRIDE-style event on August 18th at Saitama Super Arena, stating that Hustle would hold an event in Nagoya on the same date.
The comments were made at a PR session (alongside his wife Aki Mukai) at a Tokyo area high school.
Meanwhile, Weekly Pro is reporting that Kiyoshi Tamura will work on the IGF debut show next week in Tokyo at Ryogoku Kokugikan.

:think:huh Does this make any sense? Does Dana even know about this? I thought PRIDE was done? Maybe Takada`s just talking ****?

Takada is talking ****. He was just a pawn of the former Pride organization used for publicity because he was well known. Most people say he had little to no decision making capacity in the Pride organization.

Seeing as DSE have impending law suits from a number of fighters i fail to see how this can even materialise let alone bring any big names to any show.

Same here.It all seems rather boring and stale now.To think im stymied to watching K1 Hero`s whom i routinely slated just for small similaritys with PRIDE is quite a low point.I almost expected the PRIDE music to come on when a fighter won..:patsch

Whats up with the random clips from PRIDE? Edit:Actually on watching the last clip which was the "Real Deal" from the fighters introduced the UFC isnt even close to that type of presentation. There format is nothing more than a backyard brawl for there usual rednecks to gaup at.Dam i miss PRIDE.

That GP final intro is one of my all-time favorites. I still get chills.
