Top 30? Wlad is a top 10 or 15ish HW.
Nothing that happens Saturday changes that.

Fought in Germany so he could get away with his horrible grab and hug tactics. That and there was no interest from the US. Where else was he going to fight? Take the rose-tinted spectacles off.

Lol, fan worship much? And Jesse Owens owns Usain Bolt, huh? Please, either K would make the 60s and 70s hws look like boys trying to fight men. Too big and too good. I'm sorry your rose colored glasses won't allow you to see what's obvious to intelligent boxing fans and pros. Ring Magazine, a notoriously pro Old ATG magazine, even acknowledged that when they rank atgs they can't do it h2h, because it would be entirely irrational to think the cruiserweights of past eras could beat the modern giants. But, don't let me stop you from denying reality to worship and **** suck off the old timers.

Probably depends on how well Joshua does in the long run. i.e. If Joshua loses but then goes on to have a really great career then that would be best for Wlad's legacy.

He's a top 15 HW ever due to length of dominance.

He's not a sure fire top 10 because of his lack of great opposition.

Winning or losing on Saturday has no bearing on either of those, really.

Seems like so much legacy on the line, but in 10 years when you think about Wladimir, winning or losing this particular fight right now means very, very little.

If you include Tunney here as a HW, you've got to include Ezzard.

Easily. All time top 15, or 20 . Some say top 10.

I'm not sure how much his legacy is boosted if he wins as Joshua has literally beaten nobody. It all depends what Joshua does afterwards.

It is a tough debate with Tunney and Ezzard, no joke. Their shorter but great stays at HW, what does their championship reigns at LHW mean to the discussion, to what extent do we rate at HW a battle between two career LHW men both weighing 177 pounds, etc.

No question they're legends. I rate both Tunney and Ezzard crazy high in P4P discussion, not as much in "ATG HW lists" (especially Tunney... just seems to have competed there much less) although it's no disrespect to them.

If Wlad loses on Saturday he's probably one of the best 15 HWs in history of the sport. If he wins - then retires soon - and AJ comes a dominant champion in later years then that will give weight to the argument that Wlad dominated his era and beat the guy who dominated the era after him.
