Nope, you are trying to make a new point without retracting your previous attempt at one. I don't play that game. You have to clear the air on your last statements before I would be willing to move on.

Oh, you originally stated "a few days notice"

Now provide a source that states Lewis knew Kirk Johnson had for a fact not been training and was himself only 80% ready. Otherwise, admit you invented a narrative. It would also be a good idea to state you made up the "few days notice" claim before changing it to "two weeks notice" after i provided a source or thank me for correcting you at the very least.

I don't think a fighter being at a career heaviest, especially at that age means they were in poor shape. For one thing, the bone density on most modern well fed males don't stop growing until our mid or late 30s.

Lewis was 251 for McCall 2 and that was 6 years prior to his fight, and that's usually cited as a career best performance. He was well prepared for the Atomic Bull. I also think Steward said they didn't bother cutting too much weight because against Johnson or Vitali he didn't want to get pushed around.

Lewis' weight often fluctuated between 242-250, with a peak of 251. So 256 just isn't that drastic. It's like when Wlad came in at his career heaviest for Thompson 2, that was a 5 pound gain from last fight as well.

I guess the ref was the one punching cuts into Vitali's face! Doesn't matter if VK was 100 points ahead and the fight was stopped with 1 second left in the 12th. Lennox won the fight because VK could not continue due to massive cuts caused by Lewis's punches. Rules are rules and LL won within the confines of said rules.

 

He wasn't disputing the stoppage win.

He was disputing this statment: ""Lewis beat the **** out of Vitali for 6 rounds." This statement is in fact not accurate and rather garbage.

That's why I said the ref must of punched up VK. Look. there are cases in boxing were both fighters put it on each other. That was the case in this fight. To say that LL beating the mess out of VK is not accurate is foolish. All one needs to do is look at VK's face. VK may have gotten the better of LL, but he paid a price that's for sure.
