The official A Joshua vs W Klitschko prediction thread

Can't be any worse than Fury/Wlad, pretty sure the compubox operators fell asleep during that fight.

 

Wladimir by KO. Round 7. War Klitschko. Will be watching on the edge of my seat until it is over. Hoping for a great fight. Wladimir has experience and that does count. Wladimir also has power and although the Fury fight was abysmal, I don't think he is shot. Lots of factors to consider in this fight...everyone has mentioned them. Anyone picking one way or the other is not just nuts. Some pick their favorites to win based on nothing but small things and disregard the factors in a fighter's arsenal that win fights. When turning away from the small subjective points I still place more value on experience...seeing that other factors are close...power etc. Can't wait. Like both...but pick Wladimir by round 7.

 

Looking at that excellent KO package Heerko Koois linked to , I have to favour Wlad. His punching is just so, so accurate and controlled, whereas AJ gets out of shape generating his power. The calibre of opposition is also no comparison. THAT SAID Joshua has the youth and the dimensions to give WK problems, and Klitschko has been looking crap lately.

Was it just a style thing?

If Wlad has anything left in the tank he will win this.

Wlad hasn't looked good his last 2 fights. Not sharp at all and those reflexes are stale. Plus, quite a long layoff since the Fury loss doesn't help. I think he has to be at his absolute best to beat this guy and that part of his career is in the rearview mirror.

But a lot of credit for taking the match. a miracle it even is happening. You just don't see the old ancient heavies taking on the youthful pedigreed hitters. They usually sign contracts with boxer types. A real credit he's willing to take the guy on & a real rarity in the sport with heavies.

 

My post fight prediction is that Wlad and Anthony will be hugging each other like the old gay couple and praising each other to the skies. Anthony says that Wlad is the greatest champion in history and respects him more than his mother and Wlad says that Anthony will be the greatest and he's the guy he will pass the torch to when he retires in 2027. Then Tony Bellew will step in to the ring and say that he will gladly fight the winner to determine the real champion. Fury will tweet that just wait u bois the real champ is coming to get you soon enough. Inspector Wildget is seen talking smack with Charles Martin.

 

Accidently clicked Wlad on the poll...But the pick here is AJ by decision in a fight where both choose to box off the back foot. AJ in a tentative, very respectful on both sides type of fight...

AJ TKO round 6, if i had to have a complete guess.

 

Real excited for this fight.
Wlad might be older but he has not been badly damaged in a LONG time other than his pride with Fury.

Still can't call this one as it can end quickly or drag into the last round.....The more Wlad lets his hands go the better chances he wins or gets KTFO
