Amazing story you tell there kid. Wlad punching power is good but never at Mike Tyson, Ernie Shavers, George Foreman or other level. Wlad dominated who? You keep saying he dominated for a decade. He fought Derrick Jefferson, Ray Austin, Tony Thompson level fighters. These fighters aren't great or even that good. You clearly you aren't informed. You are the same kind of person who will say a basketball player is great because he scores points but never look at how many shots it took him to get it. Wlad fought in a horrible era and beat bums. He was so boring at fighting bums most USA networks stop even covering his fights. Wlad was in a war tonight? Neither one landed much. For the most part they both just stared at each other scared to throw punches. Foreman vs Lyle was a war. Bowe vs Holyfield was a war. If you think this fight was as exciting as those then clearly aren't informed and don't know boxing. AJ is slow, stiff and overrated. He did nothing before the Wlad fight. Who did he fight? Bums but so many Brits are just so happy to have a so called heavyweight champion from their country they don't care. They call Wilder a bum and glass chinned when AJ is even worse. Wlad's chin is the worse I ever seen for any heavyweight champion. The reason he wasn't knocked out more was because the level of opposition he faced.
If push comes to shove, neither is Bermane Stiverne; nor are the litany of misfits Wilder has fought since becoming WBC Heavyweight champion and subsequently holding that title hostage: Eric Molina, Johann Duhaupas, Artur Szpilka, Chris Arreola, or Gerald Washington. Look down the list of Wlad's opponents since he first won the WBO Heavyweight title, and whilst doing so, ask yourself a question -- and try and be objective while answering it: given that Gerald Washington was outboxing, outslicking, schooling and generally embarrassing Deontay Wilder for the first 4 rounds of their fight before getting caught, how many of those guys in Wlad's championship fight resume would Wilder have actually beaten?
Huge respect goes out to Joshua and Wlad for a good fight. Joshua is now IMO the best heavyweight out.
ChuvaloChin - in 8 years on here I have seldom posted and not for well over a year.... But you've managed to come out with so much complete garbage that I had no choice but to waste some energy on you. You're clueless. The end.
Everyone is simply content to let 'Kong' get old. He has been busted for anabolic steroid usage multiple times. So they're probably just waiting for him to show a clear decline based on being enrolled in "the clean boxing program" for long enough as well. I would like to see 'somebody' fight him soon though. The potential for another entertaining HW scrap exists with Kong in against any of the current belt holders.
Ha, mate - the general consensus seems to be that you are the one not looking at this objectively, maybe it is you who should watch a bit more boxing Of course it wasn't as crazy as Foreman Lyle, you can't compare everything to that! That was just hilariously crazy. Like I said, I've never been a fan of Wlad but you have to give people their due. I think his stock rose massively last night, not quite sure why you want to deny it
Joshua did ramble on a bit at the end, but I can't hold that against him. He earned that right. Eddie Hearn boosting the attendance numbers like Vince McMahon. I often wonder how many people did really attend Wrestlemania 3. haha
Do you happen to know when Wlad started using "Can't Stop" by The Red Hot Chili Peppers? Anyone? @CST80 @IntentionalButt Wlad fans? It fit him perfectly, you could actually see him getting charged up listening to it walking out to the ring. Goosebumps! It's a shame the late great Emanuel Steward wasn't here for this, what a atmosphere, and Wlad mad respect after that performance I've never liked him more. What a way to go out!
I just watched Klitschko vs Chambers (March 20th, 2010) before this one and Wlad was already using it then.
I think it might be the DaVarryl Williamson fight. He used Queen's 'We Will Rock You' for Brewster 1 and Tina Turner's 'Simply The Best' for the previous 5 fights (I didn't go back any further than 5)
